That point illustrated in part today in a heartbreaking story out of Chicago.
For a fifteen year old honor student was shot and killed near her school.
Just last week this young woman had taken part in events surrounding president Obama's inauguration in DC.
And now she is dead.

-- a -- -- was in a park near her school and she was waiting for her mom to pick her up it was raining so she was with about a dozen other students and they were kind of huddled beneath this canopy.
A man and jump defense ran toward the kids and opened fire -- was struck in the back and kill.
Police do not believe she was the intended target but other kids under that canopy did belong to gangs police say -- DA did not she was an honor student.
Played volleyball played in the band that performed at some inaugural events and as you might imagine her family.
Is absolutely devastated -- My worry about what -- Hillary turnover has -- How does this.
My hearts.

That's another -- They've got.
Last month that students -- idea's high school held a city and to protest the school's new policy of not allowing kids to wait inside the school for their parents instead.
They had to wait outside which is why the idea was out in the rain the school has now reversed that policy.
And it was just this week.
That the father of the new town victims six year old James -- -- low.
Pointed out the violence and the gun laws in Chicago listening -- -- What I would say a Chicago has some of the toughest gun laws in the country and I would say.
Two people who wanted to have a civil discussion on the topic I don't think that gun laws are protecting -- people let alone 500 who perished last year.
To that very point right there in fact Chicago does have among the toughest gun laws in the country last year there were 2364.
Shootings.
That is up 12% from 4011.
And there were 487.
Gun homicides up 19%.
