Fox News alert the word came in just the last couple of hours the president's jobs council is officially out of a job.

As the White House announces it is not renewing a panel of more than two dozen industry leaders who were supposed to help fix America's jobs crisis.

Welcome to America live everyone I'm Megyn Kelly.

President Obama created this panel about two years ago with a mission to bring new ideas to the table -- job growth and creation.

He only met with them a handful of times four to be exact in two years the council's last formal meeting was more than a year ago.

Today more than twelve million Americans still have no job about double that have no job or at least underemployed.

And the unemployment rate stands at seven point 8%.

Joining me now Chris -- while our Fox News -- you know politics editor and host a power play a foxnews.com live so thank you for your service.

You'll no longer be needed and why because the jobs crisis is also.

If everybody's back to work no this is an illustration of why the president probably never should have assembled this jobs -- It was probably a mistake he -- -- -- should work to show the appearance of activity.

While the economy has remained language for these years we had -- deep recession and now we've just had sputtering for the last couple of years.

And in that time the president wanted to show that he cared and was doing something so he does what he likes to do we created a blue ribbon commission.

But that Republicans have held his feet to the fire over time have -- not meeting with the more when was the last time you met with the -- to talk to these people are too worried about jobs.

And now finally at its closure it's just embarrassing for the president with such high unemployment as you -- point 324 million people in the wrong situation.

That's not.

The optics are bad as we take -- He president came under fire earlier for not meeting with -- more because you know I mean that their mission was.

In in the president's view an important one and that Jay Carney the times said.

Plus got -- -- he's a busy man but a lot of people look at this is his one.

If President Obama came to office yet no corporate background not -- he never ran a company he never worked for a company -- -- -- -- -- community organizer.

And that worked a -- -- but you in didn't work in business.

So this was way in which she would have outreach directly to the business community here about their their concerns and help guide his agenda toward creating more jobs.

He barely met with them and now it's done Chris and is this not just an invitation for more criticism.

Well sure.

And -- you you saw this the president had a flicker of corporate tourism.

Back in the day when after the 2010 mid terms and he realized he was in big trouble.

He went ahead and did things that looked to the business community and look to people like maybe he was -- moderate move to the middle and start embracing sort of more bipartisan things.

Well that was gone by the time we got to 2012 and it's long gone now that weren't point thirteen with Obama to point out.

Well one of the recommendations of the jobs council did manage to put out while it was in session.

Or -- -- -- describe it was that they thought that there should be less regulation they thought that these regulations we've seen coming out of Washington were stifling.

On on big business and now in his second term the president is expected to pursue.

A slew of new regulations I mean that it on on climate change.

Gun control many other agenda items we just talked about Sherrod Brown senator from Ohio saying.

You know what that's probably how he's gonna get things done second term he doesn't think he can work with -- Republican so it's going to be.

All executive orders regulations that kind of thing.

Well it's probably good he's letting them go -- because they would just be crabby.

So -- they're happier that -- or so they're they're these folks probably not they were probably not necessary in terms of what president wanted to do.

With the jobs council which was to look busy.

It was probably successful for a period of time to look busy and -- concerned about jobs and look moderate.

But now as you say he has you listen to -- -- unions aren't his inaugural address.

He went dark -- jobs he -- talking about any of that stuff he was talking about Big Dig liberal wish list ideas.

About global warming and gay marriage and all this other stuff.

Not talking about jobs his focus is on remaking restructuring things in this country in this government working way that he thinks is -- -- better more liberal and to his liking it's not about job so far.

You know we we just did a story the other day on the doctor shortage in this country we talked a bit about this health care panel that.

Was created a response to oversee this issue and figure out how we're gonna get around.

The doctor shortage and so on under Obama care and then for other reasons as well well we found out that.

They didn't get the fighting they needed made that they've essentially been disbanded as well I mean what is the point of creating all these councils that are supposed to keep us honest and make sure we get the job as the president listens the recommendations -- make sure the doctors really will be there as we were promised they would be under obamacare.

If they never get.

Support may never meet and they wind up just defunct who actually does have the president's ear on -- who actually is advising him on these important issues.

We know -- of some of well a lot of what his inner circles like people like Valerie Jarrett and folks like that.

-- -- you have not been gone from Washington DC for so -- that you don't know why.

People put these kind of -- together it's either to take heat off on someplace where they're weak like in the president's health care law or in this case the the job situation.

Sport just look busy and tell voters something that they want to hear we've got a commission on it and Washington we've got a commission.

Equals we're not going to do anything on this that's that's how you know -- -- what happened when you hear the phrase blue ribbon commission.

Boy well the senate didn't have a husband hearing the other day -- the doctor shortage so they're looking into -- and then as far as solutions down.
