A suicide bombers struck the US embassy and on correct Turkey today killing himself and a guard.

-- officials -- suspect the bomber was connected to a domestic left wing militant group.

But so far no terror outfit has claimed responsibility.

At the White House today presidential spokesman Jay Carney was quick to call it an act of terror.

A suicide bombing in the perimeter of an embassy is by definition an act of terror it is a terrorist attack.

However we do not know at this point who is responsible or -- the motivations behind the attack.

The attack itself is clearly an -- The bombing comes just a few months after the US ambassador to Libya Cris Stevens was killed in a terror attack on an American Consulate and then got -- with us now.
