Joining us now former US ambassador the United Nations John Bolton who joins us every Sunday and about this time ambassador good morning.

Good morning there might -- -- good to see when you hear -- vice president Joseph Biden talk about possible direct talks any hope at all with Iran that that would help.

Not if your objective is to stop them from acquiring nuclear weapons are simply no way that Iran is gonna be talked out of a program it's been pursuing for twenty years.

And is getting ever closer to success to actually have a deliverable nuclear weapon.

You know the administration's been trying to talk to run for four years negotiations have been only fitful would be the best way to describe it because.

Iran hasn't seen -- need to do what they may do it this time because they do have some objectives they'd like to achieve they'd like to.

Well I think they're very good they've demonstrated over the past that ten or twelve years very good at cutting.

Iran's current enrichment of uranium up to the standard reactor grade levels I think that would be.

Of the United States that we've held for over ten years it would be weaker than the Security Council's position since 2006.

But as I say when you have a new secretary of state come -- particularly one who believes is deeply in endless negotiation.

As John Kerry I think it's a prospect at risk that we face -- -- and endless negotiation there's another negotiating period February 25.

You expect any of them come out.

No I'd I think -- the record dead that we've seen is that Iran uses the negotiation to give itself the the US served more importantly Israel from using force because people say oh my goodness we've got these negotiations.
