Well -- -- is returning for its ninth consecutive year and will undoubtedly be filled to the brim with adorable moments.

This year will be the first ever to incorporate slow motion replays on the new kid can.

And the the cat lovers out there the -- kitten halftime show is back by popular demand.

Dan Shatner -- free for the puppy bowl joins us now and he's not alone -- welcome -- video.

Great to see you guys aren't you might have a -- stand there with the food that.

-- -- ravens fan this is Jackson's from the he's from animal haven here in New York City is up for adoption of the three month old chetniks and -- cyclists for the -- -- he is the best you can tell he paid three month old puppy I had ever seen.

-- just you know he's saving his energy right now for the big game.

He's adorable now this is tough job that you happen because -- is often uncontrollable.

And I noted to be able to throw flags for penalties like excessive cuteness how does one make that decision.

Well it you know usually excessive cuteness.

Yeah -- applies to more than one dogs have two dogs are doing something super cute that's gonna distract everyone and actually stop the game that's when I got from my flag.

But -- right puppies are naturally Q so.

I mean I just be throwing them all day long now we also heard some special things that you're going to have including hedgehog cheerleaders and look there it is right there we thought.

And also the blimp is -- and powered by hamsters and it's -- really beyond just the -- -- I mean this is you know all animal species many of.

And now being put it.

He had a hit because you -- right because we have had jobs we have kittens we have meet the tweeting bird that's a -- this going to be in the stands between -- the action during game day.

The great thing is it all these -- all 63 of them that you see are available for adoption draw from shelters and rescue centers across America.

Yeah and that's it is such a great point and not to be lost in all the adorable this year is you know it -- a great chance to highlight the animals that are out there in shelters.

I had a -- spotlight and then today.

Absolutely indications as well so if you you can go to pet finder dot com while you watch the puppy bowl and if -- -- the puppy one is not available they will help you find one that is in your local area.

And is that a lot of fun -- -- a little bit a puppy cam here where we see them in the equal locker room and think you're getting ready you for the festivities.

I was out at a freak deal really being in the middle that's gonna know that it -- -- a lot of effort to get down it actually had the end none of that has happened you can't help them.

On how do you tackle this job.

How to -- -- goes up sometimes literally sometimes you gotta get down there and actually move these puppies from one area to the other.

You know you can't be too strict -- penalties but you do have to enforce.

The rules.

There are many rules but we just need to chew toy to be dragged into the end zone by a puppy and if that happens that counts the touchdown and we need to make to the public stay safe.

And that they don't relieve themselves too often on the field it's actually quite a challenge.

That is I've been a side benefit of their cuteness right -- have a great time we know there were nine million people it's tunes and -- last year we wish you even more this year it's always a lot of fun and we know not an easy task although probably a very fun -- -- thanks for the previous.

Thanks thanks for having us I and that.
