There are new questions this morning about the murder of the most affected navy seal sniper in US history.

Chris Kyle server survived four tours of duty in Iraq.

But police say that in the end he was killed this weekend by a marine veteran guy that he was trying to help.

Good morning everybody I'm Martha -- here in America's Newsroom.

I'm Gregg -- in for Bill Hemmer.

Kyle had a 160.

Confirmed kills he was so good at what he did.

The terrorists out there dubbed him the devil of ramadi and put -- 20000.

Dollar bounty on his head.

Kyle is also now -- for reaching out to fellow vets once they got back home.

And he was doing that acting as a mentor to this man former marine Eddie ray -- before police say Ralph turned the gun on him.

And killed him.

Terrible story this morning Casey Stegall joins us now live -- Casey was the latest on the investigation here.

Well Martha you know this is a very bizarre story and one that really is developing all the time the sheriff's department down there is telling us the detectives are now working and figuring out.

How these three men knew each other exactly and for how long apparently they had all ridden in the same vehicle together to that gun range.

All on Saturday but the motive in terms of what actually spurred the attack is still unclear that is what they are really trying to figure out.

Police say that Kyle and Chad Littlefield had been dead for several hours before their bodies were discovered.

After 25 year old Eddie ray Ralph -- reportedly shot the two men with a semi automatic handgun he popped in Chris Kyle's truck.

And fled the scene.

The former marine even leading cops on a small pursuit before he was arrested.

At his home about 75 miles from the scene.

And there are reports this morning the Ralph is being -- ruling in jail he apparently had to be -- after attacking.

After attacking some staff members of the jail.

And he's being held in a separate population away from the rest of the inmates because he's clearly posing some sort of the danger while he's about behind bars more.

Such as tragic story of what about to his friends Chris Kyle had a lot of friends.

Get a lot of notoriety -- -- and how are they reacting to all of this.

You know he really did former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin tweeted over the weekend about this immune reaction has been coming in from all over.

And frankly a lot of people are simply in disbelief.

As you and Greg were saying he had the reputation of being one of America's deadliest snipers.

For two tours of duty -- right on the front lines out there.

Several silver and bronze stars among other awards that he was given to go to New York Times best seller American sniper which was an autobiography.

As we said the Pentagon said that he was so feared by Iraqi insurgents that a bounty was put on his head.

Here is one of Chris Kyle's comrades -- retired US army ranger who was on FOX & Friends not long ago listen.

Lot of people grass ceiling wire wire you take a -- that struggling -- to go shooting.

-- shooting for guys like us in the military is a very very familiar skill set it's like taken a basketball player out to shoot hoops you know.

And so shooting with military veterans are trying to readjust can be very healing and -- Chris.

Really used that well to his to his advantage to help people.

Kyle is survived by his wife and two children Martha Casey thank you very much.
