What I do think did that Republicans will likely have learned a lesson from the -- got the hearings.

Talking rather than just asking questions I think there are a lot of tough questions -- Leon Panetta.

Well asking those questions and hopefully given the opportunity to provide response.

I think it's possible I think it's less likely to -- Harriet Miers thing -- and we're with respect to Harriet Miers.

The conservative opposition to her nomination at the Supreme Court came out pretty early.

And made made a strong case that thought that she was you know if if not unqualified less qualified than.

Others and we eventually got Samuel Alito who has served with some distinction on the Supreme Court I would say.

Since -- since he was placed on the High Court.

Bout with respect -- Chuck Hagel what's interesting to meteor will be interesting to me is to see what Democrats come out.

And actually opposed his nomination and he had a miserable.

When he testified last week.

You've heard that from people not only who are usually critical of the administration but people who were paid to defend the administration like Robert -- the former spokesman said it.

The nomination of course Chuck Hagel from Nebraska served from Nebraska.

I think the real question is what will.

A Democrat it's senate Democrats from red states -- you've got a number of senate Democrats who couldn't have been impressed with that performance.

Who aren't necessarily gonna want to follow that the president and the White House in lockstep and it's hard for me to imagine that -- anybody who watched that be they Democrat or Republican wanting to support the White House wanting to defer to the president.

Could've been impressed with what Chuck Hagel is doing -- when you look at that the pockets of instability.

Around the world than the kinds of things that we're likely to face -- a country over the next four years.

If you vote for Chuck Hagel you're going to be putting yourself on record supporting him in that position as we head into these troubled times.
