After a weeklong standoff.

-- hostage was a little five year old boy.

And boy this one ended in the best possible way.

The man responsible for this 65 year old Jamie Lee dykes was shot as part of the mission to rescue this little boy -- killed.

When authorities stormed the underground bunker where he was keeping this child folks in the area say that they are very happy -- this little boy and that we'll -- Prayed for a little lawyer.

To come out strong and safe and for -- mother wrap his arms around.

Him and let him know that we've all been pray and and for his mother and his family -- know we've been -- and and it is it is unbelievable the support that this down it's -- and for this.

-- -- Yeah I mean you are so right and this bus driver was such a hero.

Where -- listening to Peter Johnson talked about this this morning and he was saying that this it could have been so much worse were it not for this man.

If he had been able to move his way onto that bus and had taken more of these children who knows you know what would have happened in this situation.

But there's also you know when you look into the background.

Jamie Lee -- -- he was brought up on menacing charges and as I understand it his guns could have been taken away from him.

As a result of that is there anything we need to learn about how to deal with people like this that we could do differently in the future.

Well I think market this time.

There's a lot of details that have yet to be released about the background on this situation.

The relationships between.

-- -- people involved I would just say that's.

You know we need to focus right now on -- and we need to focus -- on his being reunited with his family and celebrate -- Give this family time -- you.

Get their feet back on the ground after this this.

Situation that like I said before has caused so much anguish not just with this family but throughout the community down there and -- the events and facts unfold.

And I think it would be the appropriate time -- to reevaluate.

His situation.

Everybody -- men and women of law enforcement in the first responders you know the -- their body work together for one common goal -- Bringing them home you know make sure he was site.

This is the community involvement -- -- involved.

People helping people you know -- That's really what it's all about.

You know -- win it we learned that there was that camera that was lowered into that bunker.

-- you know what can you tell us about that and we know that from the FBI that that decision -- they saw that they felt this boy was in danger.

They decided to create some kind of diversionary.

Tactic to get his attention away for just a split second right -- he tell you about that.

Well I guess that I I really didn't go over our captains are.

Do you thing like and I apologize you know because.

Would not let anybody come near his property he was allowed to build this bunker is that something that you know.

You know like dating -- -- -- -- -- build that bunker I mean what what can we learn about dealing with this kind of person because that is something that maybe we can't take something away from.

We had we had no report the incident with a we did have a report of the menacing charges with the -- -- merchandise and they Simmons one the second.

As far as the the building.
