-- -- -- -- -- -- -- Everyone has their own personality and when it comes to doctors will have a certain style.

-- -- position that you can jail where it is important and it could I can make a huge impact on your health.

Vitals and online database that connects patients to the medical world conducted a survey and found there are five kinds of doctors.

He it would be now is the company's chief medical officer doctor -- Rosen guard to tell me some of these findings tell me about the different types -- the first one.

Yeah well as -- they're actually five types in the most important part point is that not each type fits the different patients.

Becomes very important to make sure you are connected with the right doctor because that ultimately translates into -- being more compliant with medicine.

Listening to what the doctor has to say.

The favorite doctor -- it was what we called the sage for those of us -- older this is sort of the Marcus Welby type someone who's sort of been experienced been around them.

Block certainly good uncle woo -- you can really sort of trust and develop a personal relationship where it -- And so the patient is that tend to.

Gravitate to that city -- are whom older folks they tend to be older folks that's that's exactly right -- again there's that personal comfort with the see each other any any negatives to being the sage.

Well if you wanna get -- and get out fast and -- younger patients for example preferred that.

-- this age may take a little bit too much of your time to tell -- or he isn't.

You know I remember in 1972.

And you know exactly tell me another style of -- farewell on the other extreme said this -- -- the most popular about 30% of patients preferred the -- on the other extremists.

Who this survey called doctor -- this guy is really very -- cold facts are really not very compassionate.

Gives you need you need to narrow in and out.

Not many of our patients in the -- like doctor data -- back to did show about 8%.

On -- again if you sort of want to he's very confident we'll do a good job.

But he's not gonna really hold your hand and I spent my he'll sing an email faster than he would shake -- hand -- Spend -- little it's fifty minutes talking about something else exactly right.

All right so that's got to digital but don't you think that -- Do you think that we gonna be seeing more and more directed -- exactly right as becomes very right very I don't see that mes -- -- hanging out there that for a long time very worrisome -- health care changes in May end up with a lot more -- -- vigils and we necessarily want to now another the style is.

-- -- -- -- No nonsense right tactic known Johnson since doctor digital are very very senators -- -- doctor no nonsense is a little bit closer to doctor sage.

But still really not going to be spending the amount of time you might like and as you said unfortunately we've did the pressures of health -- environment today.

We may be seeing more doctored no nonsense so when you say no nonsense are you talking about it patient makes an appointment and because they have a rash.

And he looks at directions okay this -- is due to allergic reaction we got some cortisone but just has the patients about to leave the room -- oh by the way.

My left elbow is hurting a little -- can you check it out and he'll say.

No this is I was out -- out this is not why you're here today I'm sorry to have to make another appointment.

No announces.

That's -- that's the kind of doctor would talk about and if you think about it that kind of relationship is not gonna lend itself to a patient really saying I trust this doctor on the to do what he says that he has to run a practice -- government and that that's the pressure between getting that relationship which really becomes important because we have.

Medicines that work and if you're not going to trust your doctor he knocked it -- take you menace in about half the patients.

Don't take medicine and this is gonna become a real problem with our with our health care delivery system -- so we have -- more.

The idealists.

And the -- the idealist -- a young doctor sage so he might not have you talked.

Yeah.

Might not have the experience -- -- age but he's factors sages as a youngster a few well do you think that all of these personalities existed in the past or a week.

Now.

You know and another was was you know 25 years ago was everybody young -- and then became -- -- and you know I think many of us in an hour and our generation became doctors so we could be a doctor say -- -- I I do us.

And I'm fortunate I think -- demands today -- are squeezing those archetypes out.

It's it could it could be something that we turns around to the people patients like the idealists the last one that you have it is.

Doctor hold you back to -- you is really be down to earth.

Alternative medicine doctor fairly and -- -- But again very important for patients who are looking for that kind of out of the box a treatment and very important role but again is usually less and less frequently seen because there are there isn't -- time to offer that kind of alternative medicine so we started vials dot com really didn't make sure that patients had information about what doctor is good for them.

And that's not easy to do if you think about it how do you find a doctor and -- vitals tries to do is really put together a portfolio of information about doctors including.

Patient reviews com might argue that terrible by the way don't even -- -- -- kicking me out on the terrible position and and we make sure we include a really a 360 degree.

Review of the doctor including where they went to school what -- credentials are.

Because patient reviews you're right really don't at all add up to the entire picture -- -- important to balance that we don't decide which a patient might like or not because ultimately it's up to the patient.

One size does not fit all but that's because in a perfect example is of a patient -- two hours to see you.

Right -- but you have been dubious sage and you know your philosophy is was a homeless spend time now it's your turn I'll spend much as much time -- -- And you -- a person that was to be in and out.

You know -- saying up and might work for one patient might might not work for the other so we want to make sure we match up the right doctor with the right patients are you creating tools in vital dot com to you know us as you look at these personality profiles and say -- we -- -- classify certain doctors this way.

That also patience if they wanna look for these types of personalities you -- they can find -- and -- dot -- right and it exactly right again to take away message there was at the end of the day if you have a good relationship with your doctor -- more likely to be compliant you more likely to do what's needed to maintain your health.

Naturally the goal behind this great stuff I think this is gonna be very useful and I think is going to be you know it's gonna create foundations for people to really is seek out.

The types of personalities and the type of decisions that they want.

-- what can be able to more information.

I just go to the site really -- vital dot com all right the united thank you so much for me him.

I did you have any health questions you -- they'll be here fox about the many functions dot com thanks for watching for Fox News -- document.
