President Obama laying out his second term agenda starting with a gun control and immigration reform.

Yesterday in another speech he called on congress to delay the deep automatic spending cuts known as the sequester.

If you listen to his argument it might have sounded a little familiar.

I think -- I think they they are right about it and I don't really blame the White House.

You know President Obama -- you know he does have the bully pulpit as president.

And quite frankly it's it's what he's good -- it's his his strong suit he's very good -- campaigning he's very good at talking.

He does not have a record at.

Being very good it.

Crafting legislation and and and -- together.

Who laws and legislation that that that everyone can agree upon in congress even when he ran the tables and had had -- Democrats in control -- chambers.

He -- didn't have a whole lot to show for other than than obviously.

Obamacare but but quite frankly it's not -- go to listen to him complain now about sequestration.

Congress well he is always complaining that you know much of what he wants to get done is being blocked by congress.

All of a script to once again Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell took to the senate floor to claim that Obama prefers political gimmicks to problem solve it.

McConnell hasn't heard from the White House since New Year's Eve when he played a key role in negotiating the fiscal cliff deal.

That set the march 1 deadline for the sequester.

According to his spokesman so here's the president complaining that congress is blocking his agenda and the president apparently isn't even talking to congress.

Yeah and -- were really no way to get anything done if you if you really want to in this town.

And and you know President Obama has has made it very clear that that he's going to take political advantage of the fact that congress.

-- always has suffered very low numbers.

And and -- even lower now than ever before because there's there's so much dysfunction with the federal government.

And he's just gonna he's just gonna keep on running against that and and and playing -- that sort of political game.

Instead of trying to sit down and do the very hard.

Business of where you know where both sides sort of agreed to give up certain things in agree to it to sort of settle on certain things.

It's a very painful process it's politically -- painful.

The President Obama doesn't -- -- have -- part of -- he's just gonna sit there with his arms crossed and make these speeches and and ended I suppose if things that he doesn't like comes to his -- he's just going to veto them.

But but it's no way -- to actually get anything done around here.

Many of the reason presidents have been governors they've had you know and gubernatorial experience chief executive experience on the state level.

Nixon.

Reagan GW bush and so forth.

Would you describe this as the community community organizers of the protest of the presidency.

Yes it's very much the community organizer approach as opposed to the executive approach because quite frankly governor as they understand that they've been in the position where they are sort of the figurehead.

That they have the bully pulpit and they understand that no matter how much you know how many people you can sway with that.

You have to sort of be going in a certain direction.

And get things done and that's not what what what what this guy does he's not good -- it so he just takes potshots and sort of you know you -- plays the sort of appears to play this sort of political high road meanwhile.

That that very tactic is sort of undermining.
