Michelle Malkin has written a couple of books and she joins us live right now from -- -- -- -- Mauritania.
Good morning -- last couple days we've been talking about the hypocrisy.
From the left you know that.
They were on the warpath against George W.
Bush about his interrogation techniques and now they're largely ignoring.
The president Obama's assassination from the sky with the drones.
It the other quiet on this they -- -- -- -- -- with the last with than the last president.
Maybe they shouldn't -- such a big deal about it with George W.
Bush because they both ultimately we're just simply doing what they thought was right to keep the country safe.
Yeah out that this is the Mount Everest of hypocrisy and the Obama left to certainly scaled it and is standing up on top of that mountain.
Plugging it -- saying -- A lot we can't hear -- you.
They they don't want to be exposed they don't want to have their double standards.
Highlighted so much because I think what it underscores is just how trivial.
They treat national security it always has been a matter of political expedience and political exploitation.
And that's what I think I I find so disturbing.
I mean and there are principled people on both sides.
They can argue about drone policy and the the scope of presidential authority in war time.
But the fact that it's so blatant and it's not just among.
The via architects and of these policies the -- but particularly among the media which has acted in such a blatantly partisan manner.
It's double standards of of treating.
Bush and his Homeland Security team.
Who were doing the right thing.
And now of course Obama who's adopted so many of those policies.
The campaign my goodness what was it that the media was focusing on.
Romney being a murderer a big bird and -- of these false stories that he was a responsible for.
The death of of all of the wife of a steelworker -- was affected by being cut and here we have a man we knew during the campaign.
That he had to be strong policies in place.
Warrant that and that's kind of -- point Michelle is that I'm I'm wondering why's everyone making a big deal about it now I know John Brennan is you know it can be.
-- potentially is the director of the CIA so that's what people are talking about because he was the architect of this -- policy.
But yet to meet its two issues and and -- -- if we can separate them if you believe that you can the hypocrisy issue but then also it.
Shouldn't we be glad that the president is actually in favor of a war on terror and trying to get rid of members of al-Qaeda.
-- let me address the second point because I'm actually on record on this when the drone attack killed a lucky and his sixteen year old son and -- -- -- American citizens.
I actually -- Obama people always ask me if -- anything that you actually agree with him on that.
And and yet I'm not shedding any tears and -- -- the one mistake that I see a lot of conservatives and Republicans were trying to take advantage of this make.
Treating the sixteen year old is if he was some innocent.
The deeper G hotly plotters.
A lock key is that the spiritual leader in so many ways it the same -- -- the blind Sheikh was.
-- had had had specifically called for the murder of American troops.
The problem of course is the incoherent and inconsistency.
Of Obama's so called war on terror.
Remember this is the administration the didn't want to call it that this is that the administration that's been mocked because of overseas contingency operations which screams is a lot of vote.
Every time that its opponents champion the same sorts of Homeland Security policies that they they now are responsible for.
Hey do you remember that bush 43 and and Bill Clinton 42 we're getting along -- prison which was still an officer about Nixon.
Helped out every one from Clinton to.
This would be a great opportunity for President Obama at some point maybe didn't on Tuesday to say you know a lot of apologies I was critical of as a senator.
Now that I'm sitting in that seat I really can support and my respect goes out to George Bush.
And that would go a long way to getting something done in Washington in my dreaming.
Yet you know this guy has never actually take in the olive branch to use it the way it should be he wields it like Cate Colombo.
And I don't think we are going to have that moment yes you're right Brian -- this would be -- time to say you know what I inherited leads to policies from bush.
And I'm actually collapsed yeah because I could happen again.
Has adopted so many of George W Bush's policies ironically things he ran against -- now -- support some.
Listen let's talk a little bit about a gun control there was a rally.
Recently had a very famous comedian was there and Chris Rock said this.
President that is states is.
You know our boss.
There's also you know the president and the First Lady are kinda like the mom and the dad of the country.
And when your dad says some illicit.
Okay is that true.
Well first of all that was a bizarre little appearance there he didn't mention gun control policy at all it looked like a hostage video to me.
And maybe it's dawning on him and in some.
You know best actor of his brain that this is not good for his career.
And say -- But what I don't know adapt that where's mom jeans OK so Americans -- some -- dot -- but -- a couple more importantly.
Chris Rock treating Obama as his father Sandra Fluke treating Obama as -- Boyfriend.
And Jamie Foxx who said during the campaign that Obama was our lord and savior these people need.
Group therapy is what they -- Well that's 11 opinion from -- Hollywood guy did you see you would Bruce Willis says said to be Associated Press he was supporting gun rights.
He said quote I I think if you can't start picking apart anything -- -- -- writes without thinking it's all going to become -- dog if you take one.
A part of it out or change one law then why wouldn't they take all your -- rights away that from -- with us.
Little common sense from Tinseltown glad to hear it yeah -- I think most Americans develop their own opinions on stuff.
From within themselves maybe not from Hollywood but that's a -- all right -- -- -- -- come.
Yeah Michelle Malkin dot com thanks so much for joining us.
