Welcome back to on the -- I'm Jonathan how the daily by -- -- bash is the media giving.
The Obama administration a free costs.
On the subject of drones and how we use them just didn't -- a little radio news service is here as he so often is delighted to see -- -- I have to say from the top of this we we we didn't talk about the mainstream media again which I don't really believe exist anymore -- -- world.
Where mainstream where the most watched news channel.
In the on the planet had we not be -- but anyway that's a -- it for another day but.
This war we we complain about the likes of the traditional networks.
But it was NBC -- expose this story of the drones how can we argue that anybody is giving the administration of -- costs.
Will.
It is good to see that this issue is finally in the limelight albeit a little bit too late for comfort.
But we just know -- the fact that I had this been done under the Bush Administration.
The media would have been apoplectic.
You know it's easy to forget this day and age of birther conspiracies that you know there -- conspiracy surrounding the George W Bush Administration to.
That a lot of the media ran with such as the idea that you know bush was going to postpone the 2004 election and stay in there indefinitely or whatnot.
And there was just the sense of danger that.
I was presented under bush that you do not have under Obama even though at the end of the day.
These are single people who are calling the shots and I think as it -- even wider it's not just a double standard with the Obama administration.
But also the Democratic Caucus.
You know we know that and Washington the greatest -- is to change your mind and we are seeing a lot of Democrats kind of flip flop on this issue.
So did I get the point -- that that that suspicion would be.
That -- large parts of the media just sort of trust.
President Obama more than they trusted.
President Bush and Darth Cheney.
That to have to run those things like the drone policy -- they say oh and it's President Obama it'll be fine is that is that point here.
-- yeah there's -- point I think that's sort of a dangerous precedent to set.
You know if if if it really is I'm sort of a black and white issue like that.
Obama is lucky to be president forever there may be a future president.
Panda -- or there's going to be a future president he may be your Republican he may not be somebody the media agree with on a lot of issues.
I'm still don't necessarily give them the unquestioned power to to do this don't.
Let them move forward this without criticism without you know really thorough examination.
Just because you know is gonna have somebody you trust.
Right and it did I mean I get the point is -- I I guess a lot of people.
Would agree with the idea on on the right and the left that would do if drones I used to take out the people who are threatening the United States then that is just fine.
The question is how transparent that process is and that there with the fact that we going to essentially give the president the the role of judge jury.
And execution of four US citizens.
Exactly and we -- -- how this happened under bush when there were other human rights abuses or whatnot.
We -- a lot of the Democratic Caucus calling for immediate hearings.
And really bringing the gavel down and that's not what we're seeing today.
I mean yeah we have John Brennan on the hill.
And he is gonna be -- you know facing some tough questions about this but that's you know what part of a regularly scheduled a confirmation hearing.
And as of yet we haven't heard anything broader and we see the media and a lot of members of congress just trying to accept the fact that a lot of this is gonna happen in secret.
Instead of calling for greater transparency.
All right -- -- -- have told radio news service Justin of course is one of the -- lineup.
On the FOX News Watch Saturday's 213 and 11:30 PM.
Eastern hosted by John Scott in which they discuss the way the media covers all sorts of major stories like this Justin great to see you as always thank you -- Thank you Jonathan.
