I mentioned earlier that earlier in the week Eric Cantor gave a speech I think a lot of coverage because it was billed as sort of you know we've GOP 2.0 he was gonna sort of set the stage for a roadmap for the future of the Republican Party something that a lot of people on the right are.

Sort of try to figure out what -- the party should take after.

Some bruising defeats back on Election Day in November.

But there was something that Eric Cantor spoke about that a lot of people in the media actually ignored out of the mainstream press to not pick up on this and Jim.

Says that it was really one of the most important points that he had to make what what what point.

With that right immunity in that the mainstream media you know the Daly being scolded much of many initiatives and -- Eric Sanders playing small ball and the Washington Post -- an -- happy talk.

And the National Journal -- was to be using people's -- is that he's the first politician to.

And what Kantor's persona that was the press cover for the most part -- sort of for Republicans try to put a happy face on -- They're horrible in the -- my mind horrible selfish and so on and I.

So what was so interesting to me was that.

That would cantor said in in the -- wanted to -- from the immigration school choice is over -- many different issues.

He said quote long term controlling health care costs requires smarter federal investments in medical research and -- -- book.

And I think that's.

Extremely important point and -- went on for four -- five paragraphs talking about this and as I wrote for Fox News opinion -- week.

I think there's a hinge going on in health and thinking about health -- from what I call a cut strategy which is sort of we're gonna make a deal cut Medicare and the next thirty years -- on.

To a -- strategy which -- say we're gonna do -- big diseases we face now like alzheimer's what we did polio in the fifties -- -- aids in the eighties and nineties.

And I think that's a huge huge deal and full implications and optimism or longer -- and more Brittany come in the government and less money going out for Medicare and Medicaid and Social Security.

And yet.

Typically the media just ignored -- they just think that if -- if it doesn't fit into the media.

Model right left conflict and in general you know just just.

-- -- The media would pick up on it and I think that's a shame that and it's just encouraging the politicians wanna get -- and you know investors and politicians like -- -- -- trying to say make a focal point.

Why what what.

What is it where the interest for the for the mainstream media and -- on the left to ignore.

Something like what Eric Cantor was on the left they don't want a deployment of some -- would say that liberal reporters don't want Republicans to succeed didn't want Republicans to exploration.

As a party.

And some on the right.

I would say what you as Kantor's going around trying to wanna she's now talking about spending money was obviously -- -- have -- more federal money -- with doing a smarter Health Department deregulation tort reforms aren't so.

There's a million ways to get.

Private capital into the medical research world which has now been evacuated over the last ten or fifteen years -- business the price controls and Chrysler's -- FDA kill off the industry.

But nobody was really nobody really press cannot or relieving curious.

That's what -- had -- now it's up to him.

You know as these big -- he's got to prove now that really means and -- it is to take this message out to the Republican Party -- it was a we don't have to just spend then go to that fourteen elections and beyond.

As the party of Medicare cuts we can actually think bigger and more ambitiously about.
