-- -- -- -- -- Let's talk about the quality of care under obamacare.
Will it get better -- -- people find it harder to see their doctor.
People are finding it already hard and see their doctor.
The average -- hit it we've been in California my patients are telling me that they're having to wait four months to see a doctor.
What are my friends in Massachusetts.
Under mass care called for an appointment for a pap -- she was given an appointment eleven months away.
Talk about finding it difficult to see -- doctor you know the whole doctor community has changed.
Many of us in private practice I'm sad to say have decided to join hospital practices.
Where quite frankly they now are working for a hospital.
Direct conflict of interest.
Not a good thing.
And these people are now nine to five.
Not 24 sevenths you know as a doctor I work 24/7.
I am available for my patient there's nothing about health care.
That is good about an insurance card -- haven't doctor he need to -- doctor somebody to call.
Not just -- in the emergency room but somebody did call.
And most of these doctors are now I'm not available at the end of the phone like they used to be they're not in private practice that working for an insurance company or hospital.
Waits -- long and that whole thing about a relationship.
Well that's just gone -- you know everything good about that doctor -- a doctor patient relationship is about better here.
Better care requires a Doctor Who cares about you.
You need to have a doctor not a card but a person at the end of the phone someone you can call someone.
Trust do you think some people in congress are beginning to realize what a mess they've made -- the health care system Democrats as well as well I applicants who who by the -- didn't vote part but still.
Any hope that you just see as you talk to members of congress that.
They might want to change some things.
Indeed I have seen some hope.
The -- the independent the independent payment advisory board.
There's actually as co sponsorship to repeal that I'm seeing some hope to may be repealed the device tax another.
The foreseeable problem you know -- device companies have decided to move offshore they're firing people and they are not developing research that they used to and a -- Yeah I want to make sure that our audience understands when you talk about the device to access everything from -- braces on your kids teeth.
Two being able to have a walker -- a wheelchair.
Our -- money bag any thing and there's attacks.
For having the device it it I've never understood that.
Indeed it's -- 2.3 percent tax on total revenue.
For everything over a hundred dollars that -- of course -- passed on to the consumer.
-- it is really didn't talk about unaffordable it is totally an affordable and accessible.
And again I have to stress that that that good care it's about having a doctor patient relationship.
Everything good that happens in my office happens between the doctor and patient.
And as I've spent the last time when I was on your show the government just does not belong in the room there's nothing about the government their processes -- their paperwork.
That makes for good care.
And I'm my dad -- giving your last segment about cyber hockey.
And that's when your electronic medical record goes across to the government.
And someone hacks into your most private why.
Is now accessible -- -- that is just wrong it's personal it's private it's built on relationships.
Not about government bureaucracy and I think the dams are starting to see that as well you know no Republican voted for this bill.
And and and there were a lot of Democrats who did I think even in the senate you know Evan -- -- the senator from Indiana.
Now works for the medical the -- companies.
And he's actually asking congress to repeal that tax so indeed we have seen it happen.
I think the -- are getting Smart and you know that have to weigh in the same lines as everybody else so -- -- Given that opportunity away delighted emergency room and by the way I was at my -- my emergency room that sits right outside my office.
And I was there the other night the lions are out into the hallway there wasn't even a -- chairs for the patient.
All -- people waiting ten and twelve hours to see it -- Doctor with -- they don't have a relationship.
Not good care.
Governor -- -- is -- -- that is -- that's one of the reason we love having you hope to have you back you just make it very clear.
But also scare the daylights out of -- so thank you for being -- it's a pleasure to have you.
