The country is divided between those who think new gun laws are necessary.

And those who believe they would infringe on our Second Amendment constitutional right.

Joining me now is actor and political comedian Hal sparks who supports gun control he's from LA.

And the lead singer -- jackal and star of full throttle saloon on -- -- being Jesse James Dupree a gun rights advocate.

All right guys I'm gonna start adjusting your hometown of Kennesaw Georgia -- -- requires every household I have a firearm.

You think that's a good idea.

But it it absolutely you -- know -- in in 1982.

They passed this law and -- chronically it was in response.

To a town in Illinois then head -- had -- passed a law banning guns and they you know they were getting so much national exposure can assaults and you know what.

We're going to pass a law that says every head of household.

-- -- -- -- And of course the crime rate has dropped it is it's always been a huge point that the crime rate in Kennesaw has weighed less than the national average but but you -- they stop they are they failed.

They failed to go -- the debate gets about guns and that's not what it's about.

Kill -- -- is a safe place.

But called it raises responsible citizens this got he's got a great.

Grade a reputation for -- been you know great family structure and it just is a great community to raise your children all right Jesse let's go to hell what do you think about what you -- that.

-- -- While I don't disagree about -- I'm sure they raise guy decent people.

I'm from Kentucky myself.

I think the issue of of the government come of any size actually compelling you to purchase a product is a bit odd.

I'm being forced by -- city government or city ordinance to buy something seems a bit of a reach -- -- He has you know you're not about how -- -- say I mean honestly -- said -- now we are no immediate.

Listen to -- what do you what do you think about what what Jesse said that you know that -- crime rate is yet how far less than the national leverage on.

Doesn't like I got a -- cities.

Most -- -- -- most cities of that size actually does the crime rate is lower than the national average I mean if you compare it.

A city like that in Detroit it's always going to be per capita at.

I mean if that's what I mean I don't think Kennesaw is probably got any more of a crime rate than Frankfurt Kentucky for example they don't have a saint a similar law.

I think it's probably has a lot to do it that the volume of people push to get during the like -- nature of those people I don't think you're gonna see a lot of you know crisscrossing diversity in your -- -- -- you know bet that that causes that conflict -- But I don't read -- you know yeah bottom line is is it is is that they're saying that we don't have as much crime.

Where you look at Chicago no one's allowed to have a gun and -- like that murder capital of of the country.

And then ten as -- you're gonna but I hasn't gone there's like.

Yeah I think that you know that -- probably Chicago is actually because of places.

In in that part of the country where you can actually purchase guns.

Either from a private buyer credential adopting an event target of an extra car I was telling lies -- I -- Doesn't mean.

Then you've -- you've got -- got -- -- it is embarrassing.

To participate in the debate being focused young guns if you -- responsible citizens you can really sharp knife -- around you can leave the -- -- around we need to focus all our own raising responsible citizens it.

I totally agree that you can't legislation this -- you can't legislate -- raising up.

But you can't control -- that -- that -- that's like saying -- don't like -- we don't need to spend money -- -- -- -- It's the parent's job I can't legislate as they -- can't legislate parents stop but I can't let you -- time out that's it for us tonight.
