Right now we are getting new reaction to president Obama's State of the Union Address.

Obama using his speech last night to press for more government spending sweeping gun control -- and immigration reform.

A new new foreign aid initiatives research for brain disease and clean energy and universal preschool now these are expensive I mean this last one alone.

Foreshadowing the president so mentioned evidence in the state of the union it said it would cost 25 billion dollars year when fully operative who we're talking about a hundred billion dollars.

Daycare kind of thing universal prekindergarten got to think the president said that for every dollar you spend on that kind of a program you get something like fourteen dollars back.

Well that's how we justify everything the president justify the stimulus by saying if we spent money on the stimulus 800 some odd billion dollars that -- that it would grow the economy look we have tried this idea that we can spend our way to prosperity for four years.

Unemployment rate is higher than it was to -- today that was when the president began.

In office the deficit is a heck of a lot bigger we got much more in the way of obligations.

This progressive idea this liberal idea that we can spend our way to prosperity.

Has not been borne out in the anemic economic growth and job creation numbers we've had the last four years I want to get your reaction to one thing he said in particular when he was talking about the upcoming sequester.

A program which he blamed.

Wanting to cut a trillion dollars from the -- budget if we couldn't come up with cuts that elsewhere listen.

Arbitrary cuts would jeopardize -- military readiness.

You know you can't figure out what his speech is gonna cost yet to -- proposal and the administration has yet to provide a proposal I think this is playing.

You look what this is a bad idea but it was the president's bad idea.

Absent in this bad idea however the question is are we gonna make any progress are beginning to restore.

Are our fiscal balance the president last night said well we've already cut 2.5.

Billion dollars out of future deficit should be 2.5 trillion dollars at a future deficits putting -- more than half way.

To our goal four trillion dollars in cuts I've been talking today to budget experts on the hill who tell me the real number is closer to 500 billion.
