After President Obama finished his address senator -- rubio immediately hit back with the official Republican response.

Marco Rubio did pretty well by most Republican accounts last night it is not easy for the party giving the response to the state of the union to compete with the Granger of the president's join address to congress.
But for the most part Republicans think rubio did a pretty good job.
And they're off to that renewed courtship of the middle class and minorities.
