President Obama taking on the issue of voting delays in last night's State of the Union Address playing tribute paying tribute to a very special guest.

To highlight the problem.

As congressional and state lawmakers consider ways to expand early voting and even online registration.

Senior correspondent Eric -- by the -- -- -- newsroom with more Eric.

And I -- during last night's State of the Union Address President Obama announced a new bipartisan commission to study wait times.

He -- of the case of Florida voter dazzling Victor she's a 102 years old and had to wait he said hours to vote.

There were long lines in several states Ohio and Virginia but Florida was said to be the longest one study claiming 200000 people just gave up.

But -- Republican secretary of state of Florida can -- taught us they are working on trying to solve the problems.

He wants early voting days expanded more polling places staffed and open for longer hours.

We need to listen to people's demand for what they want and provided to him and insure and safeguard.

That people that want to vote can vote and that every vote.

But for most of us voting went smoothly and MIT pew study found over a third of voters said they didn't waited all.

Only about 13%.

Said they waited more than thirty minutes the study also said the average wait time and Florida well 45 minutes.

From on voters with a lobbyist reporting only a two minute wait but in places where lions took hours experts say changes needed.

There really modernize our elections and bring them into the 21 century we need to modernize our voter registration system.

We need minimum national standards for polling places to ensure that no American -- to wait more than one hour to vote.

And a critical part of that is a national standards for early voting as well.

And by the way the MIT pew study says the average weight across the country.
