Sleep texting.

And while the results can be sort of funny when you see what you wrote in the morning doctors are warning that this is truly a serious matter.

This being invaded in a way on their own.

With computers cell phones laptops notebooks TVs and it's highly disruptive to sleep is fragmenting their sleep time.

Nineteen teenagers sleep time let me tell you as one who knows that would be a big problem.

Good to see you Martha I'm -- disaffected teenagers in a big way because -- don't know how widespread this -- but those who are affected by -- and I know from firsthand experience that you know these electronic devices.

Are permeating every part of these kids' lives so it really doesn't surprise me that in a total stupor of sleep.

If they hear the buzz they might grab it and start typing something back -- out.

Absolutely and the fact that it's happening at all is concerning I bet it's more widespread than people know why.

Because teams are bringing these things into the bedroom with them sometimes it's not enough to have it on the night stand there holding it yes as they fall off to sleep.

And we know very well that if you're partly -- weekend.

By something that you can perform complex acts driving.

Eating sleep sex there's sleep.

Sexting going on where it inappropriate messages are being so early and and the real what's not really.

And there and the lesson here I think is that we need to build the wall.

So that we can keep technology.

Away from the things that define us as healthy in human.

Yeah I mean I could not agree with you -- and yet apparently there's some stuff that's inappropriate as -- Texan in the -- I don't that's -- a -- yet excuse after the fact that they didn't know what they were reading.

But it could be as some element of that but you know really I'm so much more interested in what you're getting at here which is this sort of deeper thing about how it's permeating everything about their lives and particularly teenagers and -- the rest of us as well.

You know I was try to keep all electronic devices out of the ram everything on the first Lar you're using a computer finding got to be in the yesterday the family room or anywhere else.

These you don't want kids as you -- literally falling asleep within an -- hand and I honestly but -- -- right next to my -- And when it goes -- it does it wakes you up and then you can't you can barely help -- -- mind to look at it and respond to that right it's not -- It's natural and -- living a virtual life is incompatible.

With living a healthy true life.

We need to accept this now in an -- and act on it.

So to the extent that this technology and FaceBook and instant messaging start invading even your sleep now.

What we have is a drug.

I would be very happy if we knew that there was a drug that kids are using even in their sleep they can't get away from it.

You had to start a campaign that travel out first floor a little apology in every house in America keep it on a first rate is to kidnapped and great campaign to.

It doesn't always work but I try Doctor King thank you so much both Jason Jarrett to.
