To get past that procedural hurdle he doesn't have those five so Harry Reid is frustrated.

In less than two hours.
Our country will be without a secretary of defense.
At a time when we have a war going on in Afghanistan.
And about 70000 troops there.
We have.
Nuclear.
Weapon was detonated in North Korea.

Troops in Afghanistan that you get the picture these are serious times and so Harry Reid the Democrats say.
We need a secretary of defense and soon.
But point well taken -- whether Republicans saying about the nomination what do they tell you and what -- balanced.

What -- several leading Republicans have told me they think that Chuck Hagel ultimately will get through based on the strength of democratic support.
But they are holding out because they want more information about what the president did.

They feel like they've been stonewalled.
Well here's Lindsey Graham a Republican on that side of the story.

And so they're only a couple of Republicans on the record in terms of supporting -- all.
Bottom line it sounds like he will get to sixty after more information is provided to the Republicans but for now.
