We're just a few days away from the Pentagon's financial doomsday scenario at least that's what secretary Panetta called it it's called sequestration.

A package of cuts that many experts say would threaten national security.

Chief political correspondent Carl Cameron tonight on the latest plan to avoid.

Democrats unveiled their alternative 55 billion dollars in spending cuts over the next few -- and 55 billion dollars in new taxes on the wealthy now.

All kinds of finger pointing in every direction and the standoff continues the deadlines to -- -- tomorrow but lawmakers are actually on vacation next week so as far as congress is concerned.
