Assassination of president Abraham Lincoln was one of the most significant.

-- in our nation's history of course.

And now base of the best selling book by Bill O'Reilly called killing Lincoln National Geographic is chronicling the final days of our sixteenth president and the man who killed him let's take a look at killing -- It is a fact.

Rumors -- assassinations into.

Endorsed the White House scandal right.

-- all -- -- -- -- my life is within reach of anyone seen or.

I didn't I would want us.

How would you right now by Billy Campbell and Jesse Johnson who play president Lincoln and John Wilkes -- the assassin welcome guys.

Thanks for all it's good to see the assassin and the president get together in the long run -- So.

First -- Billy how much lead time did you find out did you have before you knew you were wicket.

Not a lot not a lot.

But.

You know you've soldier on them and -- and we had a brilliant tennis scripts and and how do you prepare for a ruling linked.

I don't know.

The fifth and tell you the truth did you say we usually say it would make up into you look like that when you got to make it -- -- -- -- well I was a little -- in the very beginning.

When I found out about the job -- I don't walk around thinking of myself as particularly.

Lincoln asked.

But.

You know I got there in the makeup actually Federer in my brilliant makeup artist and empowerment.

Brilliant makeup artist but the makeup on and I looked at myself in the mirror and that's gonna happen while I watch the film lesson in answer absolutely terrific you know -- you actually have something content John Wilkes Booth.

John Lewis who -- an actor your father.

An actor he also actor.

From that you don't know dawn Johnson.

He's done some work.

And he I mean.

That's a part of the character that sort of ingrained in me I don't really focus on that too much because it just know that that's part of my upbringing and my lifestyle so.

It was about finding out.

Who this character was outside of that obviously that plays a role in the within the context of his upbringing and how that sort of created his.

Approach to to life which is kind of -- whole world's a stage sure.

It was it hard to find out about John Wilkes Booth he does not.

As much or barely anything is written about -- personally I mean there's quite a bit written about it I think it is sort of it's tucked away in you know the bottom shelves of the libraries because after the crime it was.

You know Abraham Lincoln was martyred and John Wilkes Booth was was vilified and sort of written off as a two dimensional mad men for most of you know -- -- history.

But if you do the research and read books you'll find -- wealth of information about him.

-- just access to -- -- towards the end he is pro was for the south and he was a famous actor recognized almost everywhere when I was stunned reading the book how little I knew about the final two weeks it is like.

Were you guys the book is so compelling as this week plays out -- for you Lincoln did have a premonition about and his assassination he knew it was going to be targeted.

Didn't know what he dreamt it's.

You know is in the air I mean.

Half the nation hated Lincoln we tend to forget that you know he's he's studies idolize today -- close -- -- -- as we haven't.

You tend to forget that he was he was hated.

The he mentally.

If that's very pronounced that the and I -- I got you by a half the country.

And so was kind of in the air there had been other assassination attempts.

One win that came very posted to killing them they think it was an assassination attempt so it Steffi in the in the film he really -- he had a hole in my head I'm sure -- just I had shot and a few guys stick around.
