Now we're making the transition over to movies in the weekend -- the box office and there's a lot to talk about including another installment of the die hard series.

Proving the fact that Hollywood will only that on things that they know are winners and will rarely.

Introduce anything new let's bring in the editor in chief of rotten tomatoes dot com that at UT Mac tell us what we can expect to the movies this week.

I that you can expect a lot of pain unfortunately really recent not good this weekend you I want to start off with a good data die hard.

As far as we've -- -- around the office a bad day for the die hard franchise.

-- and he has rough.

Yeah you know it's the fifth one in the series.

Bruce Willis of course returns as John McClain who goes to -- because his son is.

Locked in a Russian prison now John McClain being who he is.

He gets there and almost the minute he gets there he blows wide open a CIA operation -- three years in the making.

There's gunfights and car chases all over Moscow they end up in Chernobyl I've meanwhile he's trying to patch things up on his side now I will say that the action in this movie.

Is pretty good pretty exciting it doesn't really drive the story -- all.

But as just kind of you -- electoral exercise of looking at feinstein's it's pretty good right but the story is terrible a lot of -- some guidelines.

You know not even those are good it that's the problem is that you know the dialogue between brews between Bruce Willis and I'd try Courtney who's playing his side.

It's terrible and you you start to Kentucky just -- back -- fighting please.

So the critics don't really like it it's only 12% on the tomato meter.

All right they just had day -- graphic up -- a tomato meter a beautiful creatures that you're giving it -- forty point 6% rotten.

Yet the critics are mostly split on this I I will tell you that I kind of liked it actually I'm almost what has -- admit this is based.

This is a story that it's its base of the book.

That it's an adaptation of a young adult fantasy romance story so sort of like twilight in this case you've got a high school junior who.

You know want to get out of this little town in South Carolina he -- this mysterious girl who turns out to be a win at -- in this case they caught in the movie.

-- and starts to fall for her and -- question is whether or not she's going to be claimed for the light or the dark on her sixteenth birthday.

Now it sounds kinda silly and it is but the movie hundred -- it couldn't script is great supporting cast.

Jeremy Irons and Emma Thompson -- -- now all who are clearly.

Having a great time and the fun they're having is kind of infectious and I find that I kind of like the movie the critics that didn't like it said that -- Plot starts to get in the way a little bit I think that -- right here but you know this is a much better story I think the twilight.

And as far more deserving of a cult following that any of the twilight -- -- -- -- surprised to hear the names like Emma Thompson jump in and on this whole you know which where wolf type trend with the teen movie of vampires.

-- up but -- thought I'd rather have -- -- again.

-- -- -- Yeah yeah it's only 47% but you know that's where the money is so I think you gotta take what they're what they're paying people do read and she clearly seems -- -- -- a good time here.

Now this -- -- safe haven.

Safe haven is allocation would Nicholas Sparks story.

And the plot line is very close to sleeping with the enemy of your that'll Julie Roberts alma woman played by Julia -- has tried to escape her abusive husband.

I actually ends up in a small town falling for -- to -- -- her husband still try to capture.

Ed this movie the critics don't like to see it's predictable -- -- the not in a good way.

And then it has this twist that if people haven't read the book this twist seems to come out of nowhere doesn't make any sense.

Towards the end so the critics really don't like it and it's not doing much better than.

Die -- so this is also not a very good ridiculously obviously you're probably better off seeing something he brought it on home video or side effects which I know I talked about last week.

Which is the latest Soderberg -- starting Jude Law that that's a good what that's the new release this -- I gotta tell you they're all pretty rough.

That's Robin -- one more that you got idealist escaped from planet earth doesn't have a rating up yet what's that about.

That is an animated film unfortunately there's no Kurt Russell -- this is not related to escape from New York Christine from -- yes this is a kids movie it's a cartoon.

It's about aliens that crash land on earth and they get kidnapped today area 51 and they're trying to escape.

I've we don't have escort wasn't screened for critics I had the misfortune of seeing history.

It's terrible I I would say it's really not get the kids are gonna wanna see you're much better off.

Watching racquet Ralph which is now available on streaming and on iTunes this -- -- that would be a much better choices show the kids are taking it to this one.

And I say get the the overall trends stay home downloads sounds an order -- pizza.

And enjoy yourself at home -- XT rotten tomatoes dot com if you want to read more.

That's where you can log in and read about all the movies you don't like this week.

And.
