The prevailing wisdom back -- was simple.

We're -- Specter country provide -- good education for your kids.

The USA was not a fair society back then.

As blacks and other minorities official denied equal rights but most Americans view their country as noble having defeated the evil in Berlin and Tokyo.

My parents were among the majority of Americans felt this way.

My father worked hard for modest pay was honest didn't want anything even -- government didn't get drunk or take drugs -- dig any guff for me.

And provided a -- pen from my success by paying for my private school education.

My parents didn't coddle me insisted that I work for my money by cutting laws and shoveling snow and did not care at all whether I liked it or not.

The nuns.

Demanded that I learned math English and history.

The brother urge that shot -- at a high school gave me three hours of homework a night.

Nobody mentioned welfare programs.

So I worked -- played sports and topped out the hard times not depending on daddy or mommy or anyone else I -- my own way.

-- -- -- Today we have a far different society in America one where the president of the United States who sets the tone believes he -- country.

Is not a fair place.

And also believes that his mandate is to change the capitalistic system so that Washington DC ten -- bought.

Millions of Americans -- by -- it if you don't succeed on Iran don't worry about it not your fault and checks will be sent to help you out.

That philosophy saps personal motivation and creates a mindset of victimization.

If the president believes the deck is stacked in favor the rich folks but what chance.

To -- Add to that mind -- the rise of the machines where you and I can create our own little worlds.

We can spend most of our leisure time playing mindless games are texting about trivia or writing vicious anonymous emails.

We don't even have to leave the house.

We can live an entirely.

Made up world.

But of course we do have to leave the house.

That's when the trouble begins.

What is society doing to encourage achievement these days.

Nothing at all if you -- prosperous.

You were bad person in many people's minds.

-- are talking points will pinpoint how judges and politicians.

Are imposing a completely different country on all of us from the one that my parents lived it.

But for -- not the biggest problem this country has.

Is the way we the people.

By now -- it.

And -- -- of the top story tonight three other points of view on this first up from Boston former senator from Massachusetts a brand fox contributor.

Scott Brown to senator what is the biggest problem facing America in Europe it.

Well I think it's a combination of things as you reference in the intro debt deficit taxes spending jobs national security energy.

Which actually makes it so individuals and businesses are uncertain as to what that.

Tax policy is and what the regulatory policy is so they just kind of standing idle and then you throw -- that the amazing amount of debt that we have in the deficit we have.

And it it -- up as you referenced in your opening just a tremendous amount of gridlock a tremendous amount of indecision.

And that's contributing to the end of the negative impressions that people have about.

Our leadership and about that the people that are trying to solve those very real problems.

Though we.

Allow -- it to happen we re elected President Obama and in your state Massachusetts.

Where I was educated and and work many years.

Your state is off the chart left off the charge.

For big government they want all the things that the president says he he will provide they want income redistribution.

So yes the problem is that our government is riding us into bankruptcy but we the people are allowing it.

Why well let me just.

Largest reference that listen to bill might as you referenced your -- my mom and never married and divorced four times each.

-- lived in seventeen houses by the time I was eighteen my mom was on welfare for a period of time that it was there's a safety net not as a lifelong entitlement.

And there are people in Massachusetts and throughout this great country who care very.

Deeply about what's which direction we're going in and and I'm one of them and I'm gonna keep battling -- talk about being on your.

The most of the folks in your state.

Don't see it the way you see even though you were elected the senator you lost to a very far left woman let -- see it.

You know they see it but they also fell for the rhetoric of you know like when you put Republicans in charge of the senate they're gonna take away all our rights been on the fiscal issues you have a tremendous amount of hard working people in Massachusetts.

Obviously because we're in an invasion and innovate our Obama giving this -- so I need a wide here Ireland I I -- I admire I.

Okay so Massachusetts basically not everybody of course we act.

But Massachusetts and mass pardon upon has said we are buying into.

The big spending government nanny state that's being presented to us and I want to know why.

Well listen you forgot to add the fact that we've had three speakers indicted ones in jail three senators indicted ones in jail.

A probation scandal housing scandal treasury scandal -- drug lab scandal in this the proposal by the governors -- continued attacks people back to the stone age.

Why listen you -- -- allowing the -- want to have that war because it's a one party system you have no check and balance.

Why is one of our system senator -- You guys don't you have you have -- six million people of Massachusetts.

And this is like 4000004 for both four point six Arlington voters point six million people most of them in the Boston area.

-- they are -- to handle our remarks really and educated.

Group.

Right it's a largely uneducated state this -- sophisticated state with a long.

Glorious history.

Yet yes the majority of people in this state of Massachusetts -- set.

We want this irresponsible spending we why a one party system why.

I was saying it and that -- while -- really all right I think I've been there is a -- might have -- you around wherever.

But -- and -- back I have my dad's away forever it's a mystery of the universe that that it's back to that to my point is our fault.

That brought -- -- also is creating or trying to create a nanny state we gave them another term.

When we had an alternative.

Glad -- Saying it and hit a thank you in Massachusetts.

People are starting to wake up and I think throughout the country -- -- looking -- there.

Paychecks and their dwindling in my nobody could drag it up markets is going away and -- either way don't tell him.

They're gonna dwindled when I don't.
