-- -- -- -- Eyewitnesses saying it was like an earthquake a gas explosion rocking a restaurant in Kansas City, Missouri and look at those flames inside.

Happened at the height of happy hour.

We're sifting through this during good morning everybody I'm Bill Hemmer welcome here to Americans use -- morning -- Find -- morning everybody I'm Martha MacCallum so the police with cadaver dogs are now searching through this rubble they're looking for possible victims.

In this explosion were getting reports that at least one person.

Is unaccounted for this morning more than a dozen people -- rushed to the hospital at least three of those are critically injured.

Well we know right now is everything -- stop related to the investigation -- back out of the way she a look at the scene right now on the reason that everything -- stopped.

-- so those cadaver dogs can be brought in the city leaders held a press conference this morning.

They made a pretty clear that the priority at this stage of the game is trying to provide some answers to the loved -- of that one woman employee at JJ's restaurant.

Who has been missing since the time of the blast you look at the charred remains that is the aftermath of this tremendous fireball.

That -- shook this neighborhood about 6 o'clock last night.

It shattered go windows in buildings blocks away shook cars as you mentioned about a dozen people were all were hospitalized -- got three injuries that are critical.

And or serious what's interesting about the injuries you do have some burn injuries some smoke inhalation.

But the predominant injuries are dramatic and nature you have things like concussion and broken bones.

Things that were resulting not necessarily from the heat of the fire but from the force of the blast -- we are hearing construction may have led to this his third explanation -- as to how that could have happened.

Well the city leaders this morning -- to towards construction crews with Missouri gas and electric who were working in the area.

And the people who came out here eyewitnesses to the scene said there was an over.

How overwhelming smell of gas in the area in the -- leading up to the explosion.

We finally called the gas company they came out.

They checked inside our building and said we were above that limit.

Was healthy and that we needed to evacuate so.

But he stepped out the door to it was a two minutes -- we we -- grabbed our stuff and explosion head and it hits you like -- shockwaves.

One of my friends just -- up a couple of blocks up the road here and he was.

And and her parents felt this huge.

And he immediately called me because -- yes that I go to the bar.
