Well as usual there's a blame game going on Washington right now over the automatic spending cuts set to go into effect less than two weeks from now house speaker John Boehner.

In a wall street journal editorial writes President Obama invented the sequester saying.

He came up with a plan for deep cuts to avoid facing America's spending problem.

The White House saying in response that President Obama has laid out a specific plan with cuts to avoid the sequester.

And reduce the deficit in a balanced way.

And at congressional Republicans.

Won't compromise where does the truth -- Let's talk with Charlie hurt he is a columnist with The Washington Times both sides obviously blaming the other both sides -- say we propose ways around this thing.

And that guy over there is is is causing the problem here what's the truth Charlie.

Yeah I mean you know these blame games or are what -- you know Washington is all about and now President Obama has proved himself to be very very good at playing this game.

And he's especially.

As kind of a strong hand right now because of course in this current situation with sixteen trillion dollars in debt.

Both -- Republicans and Democrats.

Have -- of blame.

But it's sort of -- it's kind of -- unusual in this particular case to have.

President Obama complaining about the sequestered since you know that the Bob Woodward's book.

Clearly pins.

The did the impetus for that this sequestered.

On the White House the White House came up with this.

Back before the election.

Because president -- really didn't want to have another big fight about the debt ceiling and everything he wanted to cut it -- some sort of cuts to Republicans in order to get past the election.

And that's what the -- and and any succeeded and here we are now where these cuts are about to take -- -- kick the can down the road a couple of times now.

And and now today you know that he's -- is securely reelected he really doesn't wanna.

Have these cuts.

Go into effect in the he's desperate to find some other way of -- -- -- eating at the concerns of Republicans who.

Are very concerned about the exploding cost is -- government if both sides agree that the sequester is a bad idea and both sides were able would come up with a way to kick again three months down the road back of the turn of the turn of the year with the fiscal cliff deal.

Why not this time why can't they both agree let's avoid it somehow.

I think -- two things John one is that you have speaker Boehner who has conservative Republicans in his caucus.

Who refuse to kick the can down the road again they refused not to address this.

Who really massive problem that the government has the second thing is that I don't think that you and I don't think President Obama is really willing.

To come back to the table and offer.

Real cuts.

To offset this clusters without trying to raise a budget taxes and you'll never get Republicans in the house to go along with that and I might add.

His own party controls the senate.

And I think the senate will not go along with new tax hikes and and things of that nature so so it's it's not just the conservatives in the -- Speaker -- is caucuses but but it's it's all of congress really is going to be really reluctant to go and raise taxes yet again in order to pay.

-- ordered it to not cut down seriously from the government lot of nervous people out there and not just in Washington as the clock ticks toward this thing Charlie hurt from The Washington Times thank you.
