That is three year old Lucy full crying.

As you very plainly heard that after being held at a -- TSA checkpoint.

When -- mother Toms -- is here with more on this -- we we see these stories -- is this an open and shut case of the TSA going too far that.

Or is this one where maybe this fault on both sides -- Jonathan noun and of the TSA is totally at fault here.

And just a few moments ago I received -- communication from the TSA and I'll tell you about what they had to say.

This all happened a couple of weeks ago the family reached out to me shared this video with me.

I had of the incident that occurred at Saint Louis sort of that Lambert Saint Louis international airport to the family of five heading to Walt Disney World.

They went through this TSA checkpoint.

Everyone went through clear no one would stop.

As soon as they left the checkpoint area and agent came over to the three year old child who has -- -- -- forgotten.

Confined to a wheelchair and said they had to do an additional body search pat down of this child.

Now the mother said it well you're not gonna do that unless we can videotape.

That this is you -- this pat down.

And the agent told the mother that it was against the law.

To film a pat down she refused to comply as a result of that additional officers were summoned.

At one point in the video which we have you can see security guards standing over the three year old child.

For an entire half an hour.

This family was was detained and subjected to intense questioning by the TSA.

They were re screened and then there were allowed to eventually go on their way.

So what do what do the TSA -- you in the senate communication the TSA tells me I wanna quote from this the TSA regrets.

An accurate guidance was provided to the family during screening and offers its apology.

Now one of the things they did -- tell us on background is that the passengers.

All passengers are allowed to film.

These TSA procedures for so long as they don't interfere with the screening process and it's pretty clear from the video we saw.

This did not interfere with that at all.

And they also said that the child should never have received a pat down which they did not they went ahead and re screened.

But they said that the parents never should have been told that in the first part but -- -- -- let me play devil's advocate -- 22 things.

The mother admitted.

As I heard it all the -- -- that video she had not traveled with her child actually in the wheelchair before.

And she could have simply go home to the TSA website -- and then find that that every single wheelchair.

Is subject to today and it acts should actual swapping a -- -- she is everything.

Often going through.

It appears she didn't know that secondly.

Should she'd been concentrating on Nvidia doing this or should -- -- concentrating on putting our arms around that child.

No she wasn't allowed to be around her child they actually ended as a matter of fact of the old girl had a little baby -- stuffed animal called land the that was lamb.

And the TSA confiscated that that that ball.

So the child was it was technically in isolation that answer your first question that's a moot point because the wheelchair and the girl had already gone through the checkpoint.

And so there had been any issues that should have happened is they were coming through those scanner units so -- one of those additional screening measures that many of us have been subjected to.

By the TSA -- Dean but -- I -- the -- -- screened off to what should they go through they get pushed through there's nothing that and then they get slow down I thought that was standard procedure for every single wheelchair and also just don't think they'll appoint a moment playing devil's -- -- on the question of -- If Glavine was in that in the child's lap.

Going through that -- anything the mother should also known nobody's gonna allow that to go and without an extra check then.

It should have been put in a -- note but but they had already been through they had all been cleared so they had been through the checkpoint.

They had been cleared given the go so they'd already -- inclined every right yet they are -- inaugural address he points of and I think that's the big issue and the father who happens to be.

An attorney who handles a lot of discrimination cases said that.

He was specifically told.

The only reason his daughter was.

Was profiled was because she was in a wheelchair and so the father questions whether or -- that isn't that discrimination against the disabled.

Disabled what do you think in this.

Look when you have a lot of very low paying employees running around without adequate training who put in positions of power and responsibility.

If you're gonna have horrific occasional accidents like this and this is one case I mean obviously this horrible terrible terrible story when.

But you know the flip side of it is you know they would say look we're trying to protect the -- from being blown up -- make.

And wheelchairs are great place to hide explosives in the -- and you know yes we like future do through the checkpoint but we shouldn't have.

And in the interest of the safety of the passengers who were on that plane.

-- -- -- elaborate on the not -- it there are always do so seriously or does seem to go to training in the TSA and that communications.

To you.

Appeared in the.

-- of -- now what do they say that they the wrong advice was given no it was it was and this is very unusual for the TSA to respond because I cover a lot of these stories so.

I think they realize that they did make a mistake here there is not a wealth of evidence that three year old -- -- a bit -- are blowing up American jetliners.

And I think they understand that in this particular instance they goofed up all right talk stock was at fault Fox News -- great to have you think I have is that -- -- a lot more of this including the video on his website which is radio don't foxnews.com slash talk.

Sounds go check it out it's the video is really worth watching if you wanna -- really understand what happened -- -- great to see thank you very much you.
