That is three year old Lucy full crying.

As you very plainly heard that after being held at a -- TSA checkpoint.

When -- mother Toms -- is here with more on this -- we we see these stories -- is this an open and shut case of the TSA going too far that.

Or is this one where maybe this fault on both sides -- Jonathan noun and of the TSA is totally at fault here.

And just a few moments ago I received -- communication from the TSA and I'll tell you about what they had to say.

This all happened a couple of weeks ago the family reached out to me shared this video with me.

I had of the incident that occurred at Saint Louis sort of that Lambert Saint Louis international airport to the family of five heading to Walt Disney World.

They went through this TSA checkpoint.

Everyone went through clear no one would stop.

As soon as they left the checkpoint area and agent came over to the three year old child who has -- -- -- forgotten.

Confined to a wheelchair and said they had to do an additional body search pat down of this child.

Now the mother said it well you're not gonna do that unless we can videotape.

That this is you -- this pat down.

And the agent told the mother that it was against the law.

To film a pat down she refused to comply as a result of that additional officers were summoned.

At one point in the video which we have you can see security guards standing over the three year old child.

For an entire half an hour.

This family was was detained and subjected to intense questioning by the TSA.

They were re screened and then there were allowed to eventually go on their way.

So what do what do the TSA -- you in the senate communication the TSA tells me I wanna quote from this the TSA regrets.

An accurate guidance was provided to the family during screening and offers its apology.

Now one of the things they did -- tell us on background is that the passengers.

All passengers are allowed to film.

These TSA procedures for so long as they don't interfere with the screening process and it's pretty clear from the video we saw.

This did not interfere with that at all.

And they also said that the child should never have received a pat down which they did not they went ahead and re screened.

But they said that the parents never should have been told that in the first part but -- -- -- let me play devil's advocate -- 22 things.

The mother admitted.

As I heard it all the -- -- that video she had not traveled with her child actually in the wheelchair before.

And she could have simply go home to the TSA website -- and then find that that every single wheelchair.

Look when you have a lot of very low paying employees running around without adequate training who put in positions of power and responsibility.

If you're gonna have horrific occasional accidents like this and this is one case I mean obviously this horrible terrible terrible story when.

But you know the flip side of it is you know they would say look we're trying to protect the -- from being blown up -- make.

And wheelchairs are great place to hide explosives in the -- and you know yes we like future do through the checkpoint but we shouldn't have.

And in the interest of the safety of the passengers who were on that plane.
