We desperately need moisture here this is a drought monitor you see these dark colors this is the worst drought we have.

And it's right across Nebraska parts of South Dakota and Kansas.

And take a look exactly where the -- -- this -- was gonna fall.

It's that western Kansas western parts of Nebraska and this is nothing but beneficial it's all farmland out there they desperately need it in the short term.

Certainly problematic.

With getting around on the roads.

-- almost like mother nature drew that one up especially when that snow -- they get all the rain water and that moisture from that.

But we're also talking about severe weather down south rhetoric yet the exact same storm the flip side of it is the south side of -- the warmer side we're gonna see chance of severe weather tonight.

Across parts of west Texas may be right across a red river not a huge tornado threat tonight it is mostly hail and wind tomorrow a better tornado threat.

Snowplows and salt spreader is already hard at work on highways from California into the midwest and plains states.

And at airports from Tucson to Kansas City many of the airlines have started canceling flights.

Later tonight and early tomorrow morning so if you're flying out be sure to call ahead.

Now tomorrow could very well be a snow day for school children.

It will be a day off for state lawmakers in Kansas.

Who've already announced -- no legislative business tomorrow on account of this massive winter storm and in the meantime -- Rick mentioned farmers are praying for more.
