Business this week we talk with entrepreneurs and small business owners who are managing to survive and even thrive in this very tough economy.

Our guest today had to contend -- nature's fury as well as the economic situation.

Back in 2011 a massive tornado virtually wiped out the town of Joplin Missouri.

The twister didn't spare amplified gymnastics but like Joplin itself the business.

He's making a huge comeback Paul comes stat is the co owner and -- manager of amplified gymnastics he joins us now by phone.

Paul we said that it I'll come back but in a way it isn't because you weren't even open when the tornado struck you would build this business you were getting ready to open your doors.

And the tornado wipes you out isn't that how it happened.

Yeah that's -- -- I believe you're out we -- our grand opening.

When the tornado hit that we had about a year we're the crap and then the at the start gobbling up.

Yeah that that had to feel awful I mean all the planning.

All the planning all the we will look at -- before and after pictures by the way of -- your business before and after you know.

You're just ready to open you've spent all this money you've got things ready to go and you got flattened.

Yeah.

The actually -- and -- -- the way for the grand opening but what is happening.

You know so much.

Good spear behind it the global economy to come back you people don't want that kind of -- and without any kind of business history we really.

Weren't sure how we were connected to someone that they'll -- a viable business.

And so it -- it.

I don't under I think about what he wanted to try to do it again.

Well I you know I'm I'm curious because to my -- moment my two girls both.

Took gymnastics lessons and it's great sport but after a time when -- what your your town has been wiped out.

How do you it had to be tough to get to decide -- you know would families still want this kind of thing.

Yeah that's exactly column what we are wondering I ate it up I'm getting -- in all the youth programs to predict that NATO and it will it.

And I realized.

One thing that people feel prioritizing it they're in it and -- if it were looking or that the normal.

-- the parents want about whether it during that time and you know after about a month now I realize -- -- that bill don't think that -- did you really need them that I thought it would get behind.
