Happy Friday I'm meteorologist Janice Dean taking a look at your temperatures across the northeast the Great Lakes.

And the midwest 37 in Boston 39 in New York 35 in Detroit 24 in Marquette.

Looks like 29 for you in Minneapolis 55 and -- -- -- -- Norfolk.

Satellite radar imagery we have that big -- storm system that came to the central US bringing feet of snow for a lot of areas.

We could see an additional 12 maybe three inches across the Great Lakes the upper midwest seeing a little bit of a wintry mix.

Over the Virginia's towards the mid Atlantic and the south and that it's mainly a rain and that heading into the weekend we're gonna watch -- system very carefully.

-- low pressure off the coast that could bring us a wintry mix for places like DC Philadelphia New York.

And around Boston north and west of Boston is where we could see some accumulating snow totals.

Anywhere from six to twelve inches north and west on the Boston area right now certainly we'll keep you posted as we get closer to the snowstorm event.

But people need to be.

On alert as we head into the weekend for yet another winter storm.
