Joining us now Charlie -- now president of the American fuel and Petro can.

Chemical manufacturers some helpful -- Charlie think it is thanks so much admiration and great to be here are right so we're talking federal regulation what impact does federal regulation have.

On gas when we -- to fill up.

Well there is that there's always a regulation what's happening at the refinery safety which is Paramount.

Making sure reducing -- -- sure reducing environmentally correctly which is also Paramount.

But there are those other things other hidden things it just -- absolutely make no sense.

And and that can help bring America and North American energy independence help -- the country into a manufacturing Renaissance like make we have never seen in this country before.

And and those are the end it -- regulations and impediments to holding up better our energy independence.

Well how we balances because you know there are folks it'll say we have a lot of environmental interests you mentioned safety mean they're legitimate times -- regulations come into effect.

Are you saying though that there are those that maybe aren't so legitimate in your estimation are things that that -- be could be rolled back to make it it domestic and well -- different.

Well the first thing we can do it is not a regulation -- -- -- right now is just the president to pick up the phone.

Call prime minister harper from Canada and say -- build something together either keystone XL pipeline.

Talked about gasoline prices nothing that the president can do today tomorrow that's sort of -- this could affect the price today or tomorrow long term.

We can we can make -- -- and North America energy independent we can show the rest of the world that we're dead serious about our energy independence and about her own national security.

Jobs the economy and that message resonate throughout the globe.

There are some other things though there either going on right now over the figure forgive me in the pipeline that that we need to address.

One as a renewable fuel standards were continually forced to put more and more and more ethanol into gasoline.

And you know we're taking we're taking food off of the table putting in our gas tax.

I think people around the country start to realize what a fallacy.

That that renewable standard it's.

Second thing is tennis is that it we have now the new cafe standards coming out -- corporate average fuel economy standards coming out.

You know of 2017.

Through 24 -- five.

It sounds great we're gonna get 54 and a half miles per gallon and all the automobiles.

Efficiency is great it but we believe efficiency is good.

What does that really mean do you think.

When you walk into it a car dealer -- a few years and you're going to be able to abide perhaps a 2022000.

Dollar vehicle.

For about 26 or 27000.

All -- You're going to be shocked when you find not in that car it's going to be a lot smaller.

You gonna be forced to use premium gasoline which today is selling for.

303540.

Cents higher than regular so when you look at.

The cost benefit analysis you look at you're not going to get.

54 and a half miles per gallon because the only way to corporate fleet is -- -- get 54 and a half miles per gallon.

Is that these cars the third that that the manufacturers keep pushing hot IE the electric vehicles.

Are suddenly embraced by the American.

When driving public and that's not happening.

And we've seen that -- -- with with hybrids and all kinds of other things that are on the market and and not always as promised.

But you give us a lot of -- for a questions that we should all be asking about these policies absolutely -- so much thanks in having action.
