Some people were well under deadline for congress that has not been -- case ever not at all at least in my lifetime.

Take this Friday for example if both parties can't agree in a new economic agreement the US but you'll automatically get slashed in the president says this will not be pretty watch.

One -- got sick of fact.

Thousands of teachers and educators will be laid off and tens of thousands of parents will have to scramble to find child care for their kids.

Air traffic controllers and airport security will see cutbacks causing delays across the country.

While Wisconsin governor Scott Walker doesn't want to see the doomsday scenario come to pass.

He's taking his case straight to the Oval Office will meet today Governor Walker what's your message to the president -- get a casual dinner last night what your message going to be today.

Why I think it's -- -- sequester is a bad idea if it's what the president said two years ago in 2011 when he proposed that when the congressman along with that the theory was.

These cuts are so bad.

That he in the congress -- come up with a better set of cuts by now.

And my response is simple I think they're right I think they should final turn -- -- should do their job but why not empower the president his administration.

Give them the authority within their budgets to make those changes -- they don't have to do some things are talking about but still.

They have to make the cuts because we still have to balance the budget get back to deficit reduction which was what the sequester was about the first place right -- it was it was the doomsday scenario the president said would not happen it was his idea turns out Bob Woodward went back inject his notes.

It was exactly his idea I have a question for you what is your gut tell you do we really not have enough money to get an extra aircraft -- -- the Persian gulf.

Is it really true when you -- 2%.

Of Ray LaHood budget that we now will be all -- all flights will be delayed is there Missouri is they're China is there a scare tactic there before Americans.

Oh there's no doubt about that that's why said call the -- give them the authority to do this.

-- governors Democrat Republican like we have to do this all the time we have to make those tough choices that we find a better way than the scare tactics.

For years I've heard not just in state but even a local government if you don't.

You don't give us all this money -- at the local level it's fire police are gonna go away or other things like that well there's always a better way there's certainly enough ways to be cut in this town.

Why not give the president and his cabinet his administration authority to do that.

And then allow them to make the cuts in a way that's much more responsible that's what we should be doing that's what they should be asking for.

That's -- I'm hoping though that doing the American people were asked do you think governor hasn't -- government has a spending problem 83% said yes so you think they.

To a degree would embrace this for the people of Wisconsin you stand to lose one point eight million in income and 36000 jobs do you agree with those figures.

Not me -- the big question I have is certainly there's going to be some impact of the government.

But for a lot of employers that we've we've got a handful of defense contractors nothing like what you have in Virginia or California they've already made adjustments they've already accounted for the fact.

This question was coming so this is gonna happen on the flip of the switch on March 1 and for the government.

Again I think most people in America would agree overwhelming at any level but particularly here in Washington that there's enough waste to be cut in power than -- do that called the -- off.

-- let them go forward to doing it there's got to be a better way it's not about avoiding cuts it's not about tax increases.

It's about -- true waste fraud and abuse and real quick run to thirty but Governor Walker you -- it governor Scott has six other Republican governors they're taking obamacare money is setting up exchanges -- you're now.

I'm not every -- different we cut the number of uninsured we cut the number of -- people and Medicaid and we're not stuck with the bill if they can't.

Cut under the sequester where in the world -- -- Medicaid money gonna come from the future to expand.

I just think that's common sense in every State's got to make up their own mind.

Yet the federal government says -- for three years we'll cover the price that will cover 90% of it and a -- governors like you do not believe the federal government can do that because of the deficit.

Governor Walker good -- in your meeting today hopefully you'll -- push Washington to get something done like you did Wisconsin.

Thank you to be -- -- by.
