Yeah I think tonight for days -- all the remain before the 85 billion dollars in automatic spending cuts -- into effect.

Not a President Obama that he spent his weekend trying to figure out how to avoid the -- no of course not.

Instead of leading the Obama administration decided it's time would best be spent by highlighting how the sequester would impact each of the fifty states but.

What the White House failed to mention and the -- won't cover yet again is that President Obama and his left wing cohorts.

They are the reason that this country is in this mess to begin what.

And now the White House is trying to vilify Republicans they're heartless their budget cutters they favor firing teachers and first responders.

All and kids don't get immunizations.

And Republican -- shut down schools elect criminals go.

Now earlier today the house GOP leadership responded they tried to put some sanity in these numbers into perspective.

The president's only idea to solve -- problem is to take more from hardworking taxpayers.

That's what the sequester into perspective.

It's 85 billion dollars.

We have a spending problem in Washington.

We borrow more than a trillion.

We roughly borrow 85 billion dollars every 28 days.

So we are looking to do.

Is cut.

Less than what we borrow and one -- not what we -- but what we -- This is not time for a road -- president this is time to look for someone who lead and work with us because we're willing to work with them to solve America's problems.

-- congressman McCarthy is absolutely correct there will be a slight economic impact but it will not put this country in dire straits now.

Let me explain the total government spending for the 2013 fiscal year.

Is projected to be three point six trillion dollars which means they sequestered cuts.

Would only be reduction of 2.4.

Percent now let's compare this to the national debt.

Which now sits at an alarming a staggering sixteen point six trillion dollars and the sequester cuts are only one half of 1% of that number.

Now the administration they refuse to look at the big picture or try to confront the real economic problems.

That a facing the country our kids or grandkids they're going to be paying the price for this for years to come.

And as of today if Americans were asked to reach deeper into their pockets and help pay off the national debt.

While each of you watching this program and every American would -- almost 53000.

Dollars.

That's pretty despicable and frankly immoral to be stealing from future generations.

And what Americans need to realize as they listen to the president and he'll be whining all week about this as he tries to pin this mess on the Republicans.

It was under his watch that the annual federal budget has jumped 19%.

Since he stepped foot inside the Oval Office.

And joining me now to talk about what lies ahead before the sequester deadline strikes midnight on Friday.

Democratic New York congressman Gregory Meeks and also Republican congressman Jeb canceling he is with Texas.

-- -- -- Do you care about children.

I love children you love your children I -- shall I love my two kids -- will.

I didn't get grant Paul one day at the rate on -- many years down the line of record at all that they can't.

We borrow as a country congressman 46.

Cents of every dollar as you guys are spending -- Washington.

46 cents of every dollar we spend we borrow.

Sixteen and a half trillion dollars in -- And don't you think there's something immoral.

About stealing.

From those kids because they're going to be the ones paying that back is that wrong -- and that is that -- -- number one -- and the Republicans would control that's when we had all of this and -- Is that they won't remember it did today -- -- so is that are wrong to steal from our kids' piggy bank some escape but we're not steal it from the kids pretty and I'm saying is.

What we've certainly had its a couple of wars that we should have been and -- we have to pay a good grief and on and and that's -- -- -- -- six -- and you not -- so this settlement we need to do its job but we need to do is to make sure that everybody in America.

-- had -- -- share them I can exactly your sentence for so that's really need to that we need to.

-- -- the Democrat do we need to cut some spending absolutely.

But do we need to raise some revenue up.

Actually I.

Since 76 and there's a new poll 76%.

Of Americans Democrats Republicans.

I agree with that now OK now let me ask you congressman canceling because this is important because congress -- -- answer.

Is it immoral and wrong to steal this money from future generations your take -- -- -- we're trillion dollars in -- every year.

That's absolutely I've got.

A nine year old son my daughter's turning eleven.

On Thursday and -- -- you've nailed -- this is not just an economic question it is a moral question it is a question a generational theft.

You know shot at what point -- -- quit -- money.

You don't have if we continue on this trajectory the one that the president and Democrats have put us on.

You know our children are going to be competing for fewer jobs with shrinking paychecks.

You know living in smaller older homes they're gonna be confined to small timid dreams were on the verge of being the first generation.

In America's history to lead the next generation with less freedom fewer opportunities and a lower standard of living and that's frankly immoral.

Well all the George Bush did give us four trillion dollars in debt in eight years Obama's six trillion for years now.

The following Democrat Steny Hoyer Nancy Pelosi Tom Harkin and even the president today.

They say we don't have a spending problem you guys in Washington -- let's go to the videotape and see if congress -- makes agrees with us.

Folks who think spending really is our biggest problems should be more concerned than anybody about improving our infrastructure right now I want to.

Disagree with those who say we have a spending problem if we're so rich why we shall broke.

This is spending problem.

Now as a country have a spending problem.

This country have a spending problem yeah I think that the country has of playing for probably hadn't paid for what we bought we haven't paid for our tax cuts -- haven't -- -- -- -- So it -- almost a false argument to say we have a spending problem we have a budget deficit problem that we have to address.

We're spending congressman a trillion more dollars a year than we take it.

Is there a spending problem what's your answer to that we're still bring up the debt that George Bush created by your broker comment you -- you -- payday George Bush headed.

Political analyst and they problem.

Today we have to -- we have to pay back.

The deck of an academic way that we get into the bush and we got a you've got critical that you've you've got a got a credit card you've got out of the question for you get a -- we have he's gotten.

Pay hobbled up today.

Yes or no it's not a hard question he had a debt problem we have a depth problems we don't have a -- problems and problem question.

We have that problem and we have the great job.

But we played 46 cents of every dollar congressman -- -- well you talk about half.

Is that business.

The deficit is the symptom it is spending that is the disease -- -- over the last ten years federal spending has almost doubled.

In the economy has only increased about fifteen to 16%.

-- working families they haven't seen their income.

Increase at all it is a spending problem right now the president's taken -- from 20% of the economy to about 25.

It -- all its way to forty.

I mean if this spending trajectory working families are gonna have tax rates that will make France's new socialist president blush you know.

-- -- -- You know congressmen deserve the chairman say that I agree maybe.

But working families so.

I -- the -- we're -- agree that that we need to raise the minimum wage for working families so that they -- haven't earned more money.

If so we've got something that I think that we can -- well when my decision read what I would raise and anyway it is what we actually need -- maximum opportunity and we're not gonna get maximum opportunity when your party in this president taxes small businesses when we put crushing regulatory burdens like obamacare and Dodd-Frank component but what are we did give me a great job wage -- would -- -- when I went way I have less -- I have escalated and we agree on talk about the -- The war the US congress -- we -- opportunity you're trying to guide the saw no wrong you don't latter really opportunity away.

So -- that's -- to act which were -- getting an increase wages.

Because one that you just said it congress makes I got -- quite -- I have a question -- -- -- -- -- that's not bankrupt our -- I'm not a question that we shouldn't do.

Congressman Meeks.

Barack Obama has given us six trillion dollars in new debt he said that George Bush's four trillion was irresponsible and unpatriotic.

By definition.

Is he irresponsible and unpatriotic.

What he has the dues paid George Bush's -- Talked to me about the debit cards that was taking care of where in the Republican controlled look at -- this congressman and the president's time democratic.

Exhausted at the table I don't their responsibility to George Bush is out of office five years.

You gotta yeah there's definitely guys right.

He's -- I don't know trillion dollar deficits not not George Bush George Bush gave a trillion dollar deficit.

Not a good president on all the the president -- the President Obama -- -- In four years that in the previous stint as to escape that that's a fine President Obama we've created jobs every month of fuel on the new Americans -- -- know one thing.

-- that's how you play on a broad -- We will we will gain we're gaining -- this economy recovering.

On the -- president of farm yeah.

It I like it's doing it tonight.
