Right Sunday night and it was a surprise.

Michelle Obama suddenly appears via satellite.

To present.

The best picture award.

And there may have been many of you out there who said Hala.

Joining us now to talk about it chest and back and talk radio news service -- good to see you.

I -- to be here I was looking at some of the comments in the articles in the blogs and so forth and I confess I just thought it was.

We here like why Michelle Obama why -- like here.

What does she have to do with the Academy Awards and Oscars in movies and so forth and I -- him.

You begin to suspects.

That she just wanted some attention here.

What's your take on this.

Bubble -- it is a little strange and at first it was just something that sort of popped up in the conservative blogs the fact that there was a controversy about it.

But it has sort of leaked out and now we're seeing the Washington Post asking whether or not this is they ruled that the First Lady should be play.

So it is something that the media is now focusing on and it really shows that we have sort of a biased.

Scandal hungry media who are really going to go after any now and and they get -- or any mojo and they get into a mountain.

And at the end of the day you know she -- -- a ceremonial position.

And it's not that surprising that she showed up at one of America's top ceremonies -- -- -- fact that we're asking questions about this is a little bit silly.

But we're looking for scandal I guess you know there are other areas of the can look at in this.

Well you mentioned the blog in the Washington Post Jennifer ruins blog -- she sort of claims that the First Lady feels entitled to intrude.

On the Oscars.

And I'll quote her her block.

Again Jennifer -- Washington Post not enough that President Obama pops up at every sporting event in the nation now the First Lady feels entitled with military personal as props.

To intrude on other forms of entertaining.

This time for the benefit of Hollywood glitter Robby -- so lavishly paid for her husband's election it goes on and on you can check it out Jennifer Rubin in Washington Post.

You know I I just it.

The whole thing they made folks feel.

Uncomfortable.

That she was sort of seizing on an opportunity -- she didn't really belong.

I know and I can understand that but you know she is in the middle of media blitz it's the third anniversary of her let's move campaign.

And you know coming fresh off an apparent injuries on that really went incredibly viral it's not that strange issue and you know try to shoehorn -- backing him you know American conversation.

But just in terms of the media's coverage of it it is strange I disagree with the idea that she was using military personnel as props considering that she is.

Then somebody has been very dedicated to veterans initiatives sure but you know -- other things -- the intimidation was wearing a 9000 dollar dress in the middle of a you know pretty bad recession -- yeah.

800000.

Defense and you know officials alone we're going to be furloughed lose 20% of their pay so you can at least argue that it was a little bit insensitive for -- 9000.

Dollar trust me I just couldn't get over that.

You know I mean I mean you know there's 25 million Americans unemployed and underemployed right now you know the the unemployment rate is higher than when he took office four years ago.

And she's she's fourteen -- 9000 dollar drastic just with an infallible now.

A lot of people including some liberal blogs who sit well.

Laura Bush did the same -- Well let me that I went back and looked at it.

There was a short film that about the Oscars and movies and so forth that was played.

During.

Period of time which President George Bush and Laura bush.

Where the White House she was like a 72.

Clip.

In this film about a hundred people telling everybody what their favorite movies war.

Okay and some of them were average people off the street some of them were celebrity's.

That was not really an appearance at the Oscars as we saw on Sunday but I just want to clear that up.

Ronald Reagan on the other hand just and that's understandable he was an actor knowing that but he was president Screen Actors Guild right.

And who is who has -- he was.

And in the grade bonds of films which are you know -- great American classics to a certain extent.

Yeah he appeared at the Oscars.

In -- videotaped.

Peace -- in -- yeah but that it and that's that's perfectly understandable given his background in film making.

-- then you can go back to FDR but that was a radio address in 1941.

Just before America.

Joined the Second World War and I mean I think it was sort of understandable under the circumstances.

Again a radio address that -- been taped.

And presented to the academy.

So just in there is talk that she wants two -- run for office what are you here.

-- -- I don't think that really is being taken seriously in any you know as quarters in DC they would be pretty interesting to see but I.

-- is I don't necessarily see her going out how to tell if Hillary Clinton or any of the other big names that are going to be.

Coming out next time around but maybe down the road for senate or whatnot there is talk there but she is she is trying to run for office she isn't necessarily.

Been doing the moves that a lot of people would necessarily expect so and self -- think about it's fun to speculate about that I don't think it's gonna happen any time soon.

Before -- a body adjusting a couple of chats to EC EB says SNL -- look nice.

But what place does she have in doing it and lady -- for an.

I think they need to keep Hollywood in DC separatists like the obamas think they're part of the Hollywood scene instead of the government.

Okay it enjoyed a chest just didn't -- -- -- -- talk radio news service just in good to see in Washington thanks very much.

And by the way check out Jon Scott he is that the host of news watch you can watch it on Saturday's 230 and 11:30 PM eastern time what -- you -- -- -- -- tackle this same subject with greater applause I'm sure.
