US senate former senator Jim dement is -- present Obama over tax hikes -- What is going on here's that the president knows his tax hikes are going to hurt the economy -- he wants to blame the sequester.

Senator Goodman joins -- -- -- a granite so what you say tax hikes the bad that's about.

Well Greta most of the media is so sold out to Obama that they're missing the obvious here.

The policies that the president has in place especially a tax increase is it just kind of -- -- are going to hurt our economy probably actually bring it down.

The president is desperate to blame it on the Republicans he wants to blame it on a reduction in government spending.

But the taxes are taking this almost two and a half times more out of the economy -- this sequester will.

I sent a graph over that we we didn't weren't able to get up tonight but spending under the sequestered continues to go up.

We face it slowed growth it's not really a couple Italian astronaut Larry I -- I mean instead of one point seven trillion in additional spending over the next ten years.

We're gonna spend an additional one point six trillion yet the president is making this look like it's an apocalyptic situation.

Because he wants to do what they're doing in Europe is -- their economic woes.

On reduction in government spending so it feeds into his philosophy we've got to keep growing spending.

Does have the Republicans on the ropes on this argument to -- -- -- -- mean he's out he's out -- giving speeches.

He's he's not going to Capitol Hill -- is that from Capitol Hill down of the White House there was are talking over everyone.

But.

And it does it mean he he got to get a tax increase since the first of the year -- Is he going to get any tax increase -- -- and give a sense of that for the PR perspective if the Republicans on the ropes up.

I hope not time that Republicans are -- tough spot because most of the media is just parroting what Obama's saying that these are dramatic cuts they're no cuts at all.

And very few people even tell on the -- what was media say that.

Well I think I think they're bought into the philosophy they're not even looking at the real data.

And we've developed a lot of good to hear -- security -- to look at really what the economic consequences are.

And what is happening to the economy because of tax increases and other policies.

Or or really dramatic the president's trying to make -- 2.4 percent.

Reduction in the increase.

As being something this dramatic.

-- I mean I mean nobody immediately we talked but it -- fox assuming it did to be you know correct isn't this is not really sequestration is that really a cut that is not cut it is has slowed growth we expected to spend more awareness and another sequestration we don't spend as much as we expected right.

Problem nobody else is sort of describe it that way that I've heard.

-- -- is that wrong you know it's not wrong and although the big problem.

What sequestration.

Is we have already the president has.

Done things to begin to hurt our defense system.

He is not modernize our weapons system he's not followed through on our missile defense that's really important in a dangerous world.

And 50% of the cuts that are in the sequester.

Come from the military which is 20% of our total spending so.

That is the one part of this quest through that's problematic.

-- but -- agree to -- still it is not a cut.

Instead of increasing defense spending 18% over the next ten years it will only increase 16%.

That's not enough to get it where it needs to go but we need to except the fact that we have to cut more than the sequester if we're gonna save our country.

-- would we need to balance our budget in the next ten years we need to promise.

And an eighth grader or an eight year old that by the time they go to college.

We're gonna have our fiscal situation.

-- are -- troubling is that all these promises that are made if we do this ten year plan.

-- and the next congress could be changed and in the New York second man is like nothing.

Mean all these promises -- congress makes us -- every two years or four years if it gets changed it.

It well it is the promises may change but we have yet to cutting spending a minute now in congress now -- -- congress fourteen years we never cut anything.

And it's time.

We cut spending spending is doubled in the last ten years as senator -- just said.

Revenues -- up by an all time high in the present talks about a balanced approach.

Yet he keeps raising taxes and we won't cut spending he says he cut four trillion.

He's claiming -- of money we were gonna spend anyway so.

It's hard cut its hard to get the truth through right now but frankly I think the Republicans are doing about as well as they can.

In the situation where all the media saying that that the country's gonna come to an end if we cut 2.4 percent for budget.

-- -- is there good to see Uga fans.
