Hi everyone I'm meteorologist -- -- we now from the fox and -- weather center with your forecast for the northeast.

And also portions of the Great Lakes and today's a relatively -- -- out across sections of New York City parts of the mid Atlantic and even into the city -- and temperatures.

Into the fifteen this afternoon in New York City in DC just shy of sixty degrees meaning Syracuse not too bad it's still February it's mostly cold and we're looking at a high at 39 degrees thirties as well in the city of Detroit and Chicago and Minneapolis.

And -- well in the city of -- -- as we head west where Prosser area across portions of the Great Lakes.

That is what we still do have some lingering snow showers sections of Illinois Iowa even down into Missouri were still picking up a couple of inches of snow associate -- with -- storm system.

That -- over a foot of snow across parts.

A Missouri so -- the worst of it is over -- but we're still continuing to see some slippery driving conditions out here are likely due to the snow -- still coming down out here.

Across parts of the -- any five -- New York City Boston in dealing with some areas that heavy rains especially during the overnight hours.

In the city of New York the conditions will continue to improve that's slowly this moisture continues to get out of the area and then on the backside of the system.

We're going to be seeing some temperatures that are gonna be about ten degrees cooler knowing you're dealing with right now so as we head into the weekend prepare to feel a little chillier out there especially across interior sections of the northeast.

And what does cooler air mean over the Great Lakes lake effect -- also we will be seeing a little bit as the -- enhanced snow showers or even.

Some snow right off the -- the nothing too significant not expecting a major snow event -- around the city of buffalo you continue to deal with -- snow showers.
