Vs Georgia Republican congress -- top -- on that unspent government doubt that keeps piling up.
Congress and I was surprised to see just how much -- we're talking about.
-- -- -- Yeah they it really is remarkable and the American people know this who got a budget of three point six cent trillion dollars that's what we spend at the federal level.
And we've identified 45 billion dollars that is what's called rescission money that's money that's already been appropriated.
Along with senator rubio and it's just sitting in in -- across the federal government in different agencies energy and education and transportation industry and unused money and and what we ought to do is just it's just take that back and and allowances to -- out part of the deficit.
These are the kinds as a common sense things common ground issues that we ought to be working on instead of doing the kinds of things that the president does -- just say we can't get done.
You know it amazes me is it.
Washington would be having.
It's it's risen 45 billion and unspent money normally when.
It gets in -- hot -- -- it's it's gotten.
Tested and can only in mind it -- said that.
Can you go back to take money that's already been earmarked pardoning him.
The -- From its intended use.
Well you -- you can't but that's not what this is talking about this is money that has been authorized and appropriated and then -- either the project and celebrate our lives are surprise surprise seeing uploaded a rod -- -- for some reason it's money and never -- you know we got to the door for a variety reasons.
That's exactly right and it's just sitting there not if it's on paper but about that on paper makes it so that you can use that for deficit reduction.
This is just want to me that one of the many many ideas that will help us decrease spending here at the federal level so that we can get our budget in balance.
So that we can get the economy back on track and creating jobs.
You know the congress and -- -- this is a civil I didn't know about the 45 billion dollar thing which is more than half the money we're talking about cities this so called Armageddon that's on the way Friday.
So why wasn't that offered as a backup plan when you guys were.
Agreeing to this sequestration.
On the the president came up with Republicans obviously went along went -- -- that was out there or did you.
You just governments.
-- -- we actually offer this bill last year as well senator rubio joined us this year this is the kind of money that senator Coburn has been talking about for the past number of years.
That they -- he he's also talking about duplication that this is what's called rescission money.
But you get his money that's been appropriated hasn't been spent sitting out there it's time to bring that home so that we can work on balancing the budget get this economy rolling.
Congressman thank you -- much.
Thanks -- take care all right now.
