Parades memorials and metals are one way that we honor our military -- lost lives in battle but many folks say those tributes just aren't enough.

Our next guest just won the 2013.

Rare life award for her efforts to establish a different kind of national memorial to our fallen military personnel.

What an accomplishment -- an honor -- think it's great to meet you -- thank you very much congratulations thank.

You became passionate.

About building a memorial.

I made a promise to six on warriors and their families that we would build a memorial to honor their fallen warriors.

My trip with a very patriotic background and a lifelong family and family friend Jordan Matthew -- special sort Matthew Byrd lost his life.

And he was an inspiration along with five other fallen warriors can you talk.

And you made this your passion.

It's my passion and your mission to get this done.

My life mission right now what you want to do -- holding a picture what you wanna do that makes this memorial.

Well our mission this honor preserve and protect the legacies of all of our fallen warriors from the gulf -- to present date.

We will build the memorial that -- -- team photo plaques.

I'm representing them the faces of our fallen warriors included on the plaque.

Is -- Q our code that allows not only for us to honor our fallen warriors but to celebrate their lives.

You have already identified -- twenty acre plot of land in Kansas City yes we want to build this it's gonna cost thirty.

Million dollars I know you're a mom to children three children as well and they sometimes say to you mom.

How did do this yes.

You know what this is a faith based project for me from the very beginning over the last two years.

We have just seeing miracles happen and one thing unfold after the the other X and getting land.

You know walking into the single mom in getting land that -- donated to to the fallen warrior foundation that we've identified Palance and my children.

Of course say wow and jeez can you stop talking about this for one minute -- But thirty million dollars is not a lot of money when you're talking about a national historic project it really isn't one major corporation.

Or individual could write that check for us but we needed nation.

We need America.

To honor these fallen warriors and their families I mean we cannot forget them I am the voice of gold star families.

Thousands across his country complete.

With our nation to not forget their loved ones.

It's such a wonderful project that you're doing and many times we do stories about people and how important is following your passion and you are -- true example.
