Welcome back to on the -- foxnews.com live I'm Jonathan Hunt highbrow weekly round up.

All of the new movie release is -- -- favorite movie.

Man.

That activity editor in chief of rotten tomatoes dot com.

Fresh from a big Oscar week we'll getting -- -- Stoltz.

On the Oscars in a moment of personal -- and looks then looks to me according to rotten tomatoes we don't have a great selection coming up this weekend.

You know it like you -- before the break it's famine this weekend and it's kind of a rough movie.

The critics -- -- harsh on everything that's opening this weekend.

And so we did let's go through them puzzle that the -- that gets I guess the best ratings Jack the giant slayer had 49%.

But that that rates is rotten on the on the did I can never say -- tomato meet up.

I'm on the tomato meter -- but you could say tomorrow meter that's okay thank you are it's a a little bit about tech giants left.

Jobs for guides players based on the -- -- -- being stock fairy tale stars are -- Nicklaus holed it was recently seen.

In movie called warm bodies.

He plays the leading -- Jack great supporting cast here Ewan McGregor.

-- machine.

Stanley Tucci.

You would render actually it's kind of funny to see you McGregor and you would render the -- you get beat and immediately.

You start to get a train -- This really -- along quite well.

I actually think it's pretty fine.

It's not particularly memorable and I think that that's where the critics that you don't like that are coming down on it.

So it's rotten on the tomato meter but that really means that the critics are split 49%.

I think -- expected better out of director Bryan Singer who died the first two X-Men movies.

Usual suspects I think they were hoping for a little bit more out of our and then extremely wrong and -- found him.

Phantom is really disappointing I really wanted to like this another great cast Ed Harris.

David Duchovny William -- there this is a story about a wolf caught a Cold War -- submarine.

I in the Soviet navy and -- Harris is the captain David company is a KGB agent in charge of the secret mission.

And unfortunately there really ham -- here by -- not very good script.

-- actors really give it their all and I think they turn in fine performances but the script is the weak part here he.

He can't help think of other better submarine movies like -- boat or.

Hunt for Red October or even Crimson Tide.

So the critics really don't like -- it's only about 70% on the -- of -- -- which is pretty -- And then 21 and oh by the plot to full which.

Makes me think how on earth did these movies ever get made and it does come out pretty rotten.

Well I'll tell you what -- have this what gets made.

You get the writers from the hangover and they -- -- what if we did to hang over with kids in their twenties less than just turned 21 that's pretty much exactly exactly what you get here.

And it wants to be an outrageous comedy it wants to be really tasteless and really cry crafts which it says.

But the problem is this you can do that the movie if you're funny that this movie doesn't deliver the jokes other critics really don't like it.

It's only in the twenties on the tomato meter it's the scores and folic pretty fast -- You know they don't really you know you -- the biggest problem here the jokes just don't work.

All right but then -- then this the last Texas isn't too which has no school yet so let's let's skip over that if you don't mind map because -- before we have to wrap it up here I really get your thoughts on the Oscars best movie Fargo.

I was really kind of touched in particular by.

The sort of -- Ben Affleck redemption story I was delighted by that no direct and -- obviously not even.

A nomination what do you what do you make of the -- overall.

You know I don't think there are huge surprises.

You know apart from who was presenting the best picture award I guess if you.

You're count -- the votes and you realize it's going to the movies and everybody expects you gotta do something big to -- a little surprise to the show.

That being said I I think that Argo is -- is a good win.

You know in the acting awards it was a little bit of a surprise to Christoph Waltz got a lot of people have been leaking Tommy Lee Jones.

But Christoph -- is a class act as always his acceptance speech was great.

I I think that Daniel Day-Lewis that was that was kind of a give -- he had probably the best joke of the whole night.

Which I think was great but you're you know when you talk about Ben Affleck redemption I think you're -- on.

You know it's great to see here's a guy who had started off really being seemed to really messed -- his -- it was in the worst place possible it's merely tabloid fodder.

And has put -- has put himself out there with really kind of a new aspect to his career directing I think we can expect great movies out of him continually in the future.

All right man actually editor in chief of rotten tomatoes dot com great to see you as always -- And out of everybody go check out rotten tomatoes dot com if you -- thinking of going to the movies.

Renting a movie and anyway on -- -- streaming -- -- however you do these days.

It is the best of movie website you can find out that great to see -- wonderful weekends -- Thank you --
