You ain't seen nothing yet chief political correspondent Carl Cameron reports there's plenty more animosity ahead.

After the forced across the board cuts begin a whole new series of -- in -- The first house Republican plan to eliminate the across the board part of today's cuts and allow them to be targeted more effectively.

We've already gotten agreement with the Democrats on how to fund the Pentagon and other military based agencies like veterans.

We're gonna pass that next week which gives us the flexibility.

To put these cuts in place in in a better way to go to waste fraud and abuse.

To go into low priority spending -- a high priority spending since the federal work furloughs won't start until March 26 there's plenty of time for congress to let agencies target the cuts for maximum effect instead of being arbitrary and across the board.

Reprogramming is under -- this approach.

Reprogramming is where you would do change money from one account to another.

You can't do then that under -- CR or those that type of things.

If the president chooses not to use that.

And goes after high profile spending cuts you know I've heard him talk about -- inspectors and air traffic control and that's the choice he will have made.

For political reasons the president for the fourth -- in a -- has not produced a budget proposal on time it's two months late not expected before the end of march.

Brian will unveil his house Republican budget proposal in two weeks.

The next three months we'll see little change what both sides call ad hoc budgeting -- crisis.

-- -- -- -- -- -- March 27 a possible government shutdown looms mid April congressional Democrats have to produce their budget blueprint then by mid may the soaring national debt will again be nearing its statutory limit requiring congress to raise the so called debt ceiling.

It is one fight after another and no sign the lawmakers can agree on much the -- when they scheduled their vacation time right.

Our Karl thank you.
