I am not.

-- dictator I'm the president so ultimately if Mitch McConnell or John -- say.

We need to go to catch a plane.

I can't have Secret Service blocked the doorway I know that this has been some of the conventional wisdom that's been floating around Washington that.

Somehow.

Even though.

Most people agree that I'm being reasonable that most people agree I'm presenting a fair deal.

The fact that they don't take it means that I should somehow.

You know.

Do it jet -- mind.

Meld if there was a secret way to do that I would have tried it.

It's not my fault says President Obama but wait to hear some of the remarkable and ridiculous government waste that could have been cut.

Joining us now historian congressman Greg -- he's also the chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee congressman thanks for joining Tucker good to be within the so we've heard so much in the last couple weeks about -- we're going to be cutting kindergarten teachers and first responders.

But it turns out we could be cutting a lot of other things -- just going through a list here apparently -- the federal government is paying for a climate.

Changed musical.

-- hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars for climate change musical it -- we don't have money for TSA agents right to get you through the airport we're literally freeing.

Criminal illegal aliens yes.

Yes why -- we for the sequester by the way they open the doors the gates to the prisons.

So why are I mean how -- -- look at climate change musical escape screwed up these you know these of the things that question when the president has always -- have higher taxes higher taxes on working American to say -- We have a spending problem in Washington well I wouldn't say we're spending 325000.

Dollars or.

Robotics world through via squirrels are looking for -- in Washington and that that's plentiful that are you know I mean it's.

This is -- sorts of things these sorts of things Americans -- say half the money spent questions probably wasted.

And this is where we need a president that you know -- -- -- -- mine meld.

You know I mean c'mon even Darth Vader wouldn't have spread so much pain and fear across America if you were implementing the cuts the way the president -- so in my understanding was that the senate tried to give the president authority offered authority to make more targeted cuts and what has turned that -- that's my understanding as well.

And twice the house both and you -- may and in December.

Pass legislation to the senate to cut the same amount from federal spending.

But did it in a thoughtful common sense way because a lot of -- -- managers I was a small business owner for 22 years this -- -- how you operate you.

You did you make Smart choices the president could have been our partner in that.

Instead he was.

Well so world for -- TSA workers this is being the fabled three hour -- we might now be facing at the airport and yet the federal government is somehow paying a hundred grand year for.

Hard alcohol and -- and my you know or how about the IRS studio.

That's four million dollars a year they have a two bit TV studio it I don't know what it looks like it must be even nicer than the IRS's -- -- -- used to four million dollars a year.

Four million of your dollars a year gets spent by the IRS for a television studio.

And we can't have enough TSA agents I bet you they don't put on very compelling programming but you know I haven't -- that is acidic gas that I also -- it's -- -- studio -- -- it's pretty unbelievable.

There's a NASA developed to Mars -- menu -- spending a million dollars and at instead were.

Not cutting it referral -- Border Patrol if you you you you see why people think.

Congress and and Washington is just an outer space I mean there -- a million bucks have two come up with a menu on what to eat on the way to Mars.

Really really couldn't we're spending one point six million on video games developed by NASA here's my question I guess you wouldn't make sense for the republic of Republicans in the house.

To come up with a list.

Pushed that list yes over to the White House and publicize that list of Biden pointless programs like this an antenna.

Absolutely but beyond that let's face it these are while wasteful and not huge dollar amounts that are in their indicative of the problem right the big issues -- GAO came out with a report that said the federal government spent 115.

Billion dollars in 2011.

On payments that were appropriate in other words they paid people in contractors money they shouldn't have received.

That's where the real money is I mean these draw attention to the problem.

But there's real money being -- in Washington a 115 billion dollars in in this spent payments.

Why don't we start there because -- the sequester is 85 billion dollars so.

There are big pots of waste of money.

That we could actually address meaningful change in spending in Washington.

And not transfer this huge debt -- not only the next generation but is a depression the economy it's part of -- -- economy -- working well people are getting jobs and this is something to consider what you're waiting three hours in line at the airport congresswoman thanks for joining Tucker -- usually it's four cents.
