Where there's just and the watch for Armageddon is not welcome everybody I'm Neil good on -- -- she woke up this morning and was surprised to even see this -- Those hours in two sequestration.
Damnation and so far not even a hint of frustration.
That's not what I say.
It's pretty much what I don't -- I don't see airport shutting down because security agents were fired.
I don't see metal basins wandering the streets because they didn't get their nets even though I -- even -- street.
And I don't see Mister Ed popping up in anyone's cheeseburger just.
We just fired all the food inspectors facts might be politicians scaring us to the bone.
Big fat liars so far.
So what if this passes for leadership in Washington is it any wonder taxpayers just want to take a -- spot.
Watts his son Charles Payne Dagen McDowell.
Along with Adam Lashinsky Charlie Gasparino -- been.
-- -- -- The good of very small fraction of -- countryman thinks we're heading in the right direction that's saying pox on both houses a lack the leadership.
-- but I gotta tell you this whole.
Sequestration things taken it to a whole another level the president.
Has said on the senate compromise he can't offer a compromise to save you don't accept that you're not compromising in other words a compromise is give -- take a both sides and but fanning the flames appear on this thing I think was not only disingenuous but harmful.
I mean listen I know the president in a win win situation because of the economy grows a little bit better than expected -- -- say hey.
It took off even though we had sequestration in a B grows a little bit slower holds -- I think was gonna kill us but it's time to stop trying to win the PR war -- the get the economy going.
I disagree that the worst case scenario for the White House is that there is no discernible economic impact felt.
By a broad swath of the United States but they've been that would be proof that -- we can cut spending and we can cut it even in the most draconian way.
And we don't have a point lot of this I don't even economy right but it bit it hap hazard way I have -- that -- -- ham handed way.
And we don't have any real hurt down to the nation.
-- I think the president as a real PR problem in the sense that if the dire predictions I know he came out in this in his press conference and said you know we're not -- We're not going to be into the apocalypse finally this is after predicting apocalypse for like -- months.
He but he has a real PR part because the apocalypse always coming from the White House.
Baked in a lot and Elizabeth will be some pain I'm sure I mean you know you -- a couple go government workers are gonna take it on the -- a little bit.
We should point out that a lot of government workers live in DC and guess what that place benefited from all the government spending is -- huge -- and in the DC area.
But I think his problem is going to be PR when the apocalypse doesn't come people gonna say this guy is full do you know of any any hits and would especially on this subject well Ben Stein.
Let's say it doesn't come -- -- that they're paying out -- -- it's up on -- probable to those directly affected defense looked at it.
It's not nearly as bad as he did trumpeted it and and and -- it that it might be case.
You know you keep doing this Mr.
President you keep being million of the boy cried wolf and and and united to stop the howling what -- even happen.
Well I think the real crisis is is not so much the economic crisis affects an ordinary citizen although we do know to charles' point.
The tens of thousands of defense civilian worker.
Are going to be laid off for those people is a real capacity -- lose your job -- the even the losers for a few weeks it's a real good gastric.
But I think -- -- -- to me is that the government will not compromise I mean this isn't the Third Reich it's not military run by absolutes is supposed to -- -- be run by sun.
People giving other -- giving -- when getting what they want the fact that the government cannot compromise and got to come good decision.
In the heart spirit of god -- what's best for the country.
That is the crisis.
-- I'm gonna take a -- different tack on this -- I mean I don't disagree with who -- anything that's been said but.
-- you know I I think that the American people deserve a fair amount of the blame here too we know public opinion polls say that we're not happy with the way our -- who are leaders.
In Washington are leading but at the very same time we don't ever want them to cut any of our programs the the electorate.
It's completely two faced on this issue so it's not terribly surprising to me that the leaders had an auction newsletter and -- -- -- you're talking about target or some kid who.
Well I'll I'll have a -- -- all and that's fair to point out including all in all including myself I mean an immediate immediate zoo Atlanta viewers if you wanted to.
It's does that mean that's overtly bothered me a bit but I begin its debut -- a Garnet Anderson.
Nobody ever agree with me on this program anyway so it's okay if you know I guess -- you can come to our -- viewers.
A defense -- But you know I think people -- I think we are voters -- -- citizens will be aggravated by some of these -- and end all of Google experience it.
In different -- -- and so what we'll see what happens I don't think the fact that we haven't had Armageddon by this morning.
Does -- mean that we're not considerable pain down there are hundreds of I don't I don't know that we Armageddon will at godaddy is still a good lead -- -- -- -- -- my night tonight I think I you know.
Listen I think the slowdown will come from raising taxes as well.
When you have a payroll tax that if that is among the most regressive taxes meaning -- -- it affects rich people as it affects poor people.
Which which is what President Obama -- allow to happen.
That's a problem we should also point -- bad said there's no compromise the Republicans compromised a lot.
They compromise in the last go around.
They drew a line in the sand because they did their tax cuts and now they're saying that there are voters put him into office to cut.
And unfortunately it's gonna whale audit is gonna -- -- heavily on defense but you know what I will say this.
We defend the entire world we defended Italy we defend welfare states in New York.
I mean you know at some point you know they got to spend for their own defense and optimization -- okay well then that's their problem.
No that's our problem did we lose Europe and really -- -- losers and we literally and we lose if we lose that sort of rough there I have Oregon's Aaron Africa for the that's a good to have the -- we were -- the Russians gonna take over Italy.
No doubt I don't but their event that was definitely but if we lose the fight against a terror wars on the -- okay -- I wagons and there that it's going to be like yeah.
Does -- mean and of course I'm not saying that but what I'm saying -- there is no reason not to cut.
Our defense budget somewhat I mean everybody well I don't that is.
I admired and neither are you need to worry because the numbers were talking about here in the scheme of things -- middleware for defense and everything else and even in the aggregate well that's all ladies night oh mile marks its minimal but the defense people's save people from the Pentagon simply not been so they're going to be extreme they're web.
I don't expect of their life and I'm not here to talk about it the ins and outs of the sequestration of -- and how this is arbitrarily decide I'm not a fan -- was arbitrarily decide having said all of that though.
I'd rather a back up plan even with some pain.
-- no plan at all -- zero pain and that's all I'm saying.
But it wasn't the choice the other could have been a careful don't -- -- -- volatile and yes it is an honor that I actually president Michael Phelps and -- -- winning records available to continue.
-- GOP offered to give the president he has flexibility time then now not any desired data.
The and so that's putting time -- blaming Obama I understand understand it has been an up.
-- -- him but I am saying tells me in the end this is workable deteriorating else.
Because the -- -- on Friday bemoan the Republicans and -- showmanship and playing to the press and then hold a press conference essentially to say that.
Just shows the lunacy of of of where we stand right now.
And you know Adam made the point earlier about if being everyone's fault.
Here's the thing though everyone can think that you know that -- did the -- they think.
-- -- -- Aided by these kind of press conferences when the president doesn't -- guys America's got to take a little bit of pain now.
To avoid a whole lot of pain in the future that's presidential that's up and up to you know but -- -- -- -- -- to be Armageddon -- really know what you write down what would.
What is even crazier -- Democrats in the senate offered an alternative to the 85 billion dollars in cuts.
Included some tax increases and cuts some cuts ten years out.
Zero net spending cuts in this thing.
The Democrats do not want to cut spending and they're hoping that some small cuts lead to arm and a bit and it will not and you don't fight it and -- the president on one.
And fifteen point 98% of the vote he did not get it it was 979 it.
It might be up tonight they thought was not a numbers -- -- -- But he acts like it's 99% and he's run around saying he's not a dictator well guess what he acts like what some types.
Well there is -- progress -- you know.
