Hello everybody I'm -- Boeing welcomed the cashing in our cash -- this week mr.

Wayne Rogers Jonathan Hoenig and Tracy Byrnes.

Also joining us this week -- and Lloyd Webber and Marjorie Clifton welcome everybody let's get right to -- congress can't find 85 billion dollars in spending cuts.

Are cutting this.

45 billion dollars sitting in unused government coffers about 68 billion dollars being doled out by the Defense Department on things like.

Studying fish.

And what they can teach us about.

Democracy that's lovely.

And creating videos featuring drill sergeants showing off the recipes.

You have to be immense to see how these numbers can just add up and add up Jonathan is this what DC.

Should've been targeting.

All along.

Eric the role of government is clear it's limited it's defined by the constitution and ours is is full of waste any chalk full of worthless spending as you pointed out to me.

Teen billing it exercises and -- videos about grilling in studies on this and that.

-- Colbert hatteras AF study out this week.

Would pay a lot of workers who actually don't even work for taxpayers and -- -- disconcerting is even now as we're up against the wall with that neither party is serious.

About cutting the size and scope of government -- -- -- 156 million dollars -- report showed.

To not work federal employees stood to stay home and not work 3.4.

Million dollars when you have a few others don't oh my gosh Eric it's it's it's embarrassing I mean I have got Colbert told reporters here that advise everybody to go and get it did if it's a hundred pages I mean -- hundred.

Items of waste.

-- -- another -- in no way a 520000.

And Ohio.

We got fighting obesity with a red giant graffiti carrots and I mean it's ridiculous some of the stuff I'm -- -- this is this is comic material.

Andy and and what you think about you know the president takes -- it -- jet goes to.

Play golf.

With Tiger Woods.

That's two million dollars three million dollars down the drain by the time you take -- cars and everybody who goes living and to stand up and did say all my goodness we have this terrible problem here everybody we got to cut we've got to do this we've got to do that meantime he's bending.

Yep yep credit -- -- -- you not like this one climate change in the musical.

I have been a 100000.

Dollar us.

Brad he would be very proud icon saying which is why and -- right now.

It it's unbelievably extraordinary of course riddled with waste going home you know that's crony capitalism hundred billion dollars a year in corporate wealth back but you told -- -- this -- He followed the money.

Politicians -- spent seven.

-- -- donors themselves reelected seven billion dollars.

They're raising all that money and other -- every time we -- to -- -- -- somebody else is special constituent Entrust to defend and nothing -- get done too much money in politics now.

Marginal interest and we -- jumping nearly get to -- but this is bi partisan waste is bipartisan waste on both sides right.

Absolutely this is not a one party problem I think -- just nailed it on the head and I think campaign money in the money that the -- -- the politics in general.

As one of the biggest problems that absolutely there's ways.

But this that having this be a part of the conversation I think -- part of what's creating the problem we've created it into camp instead of sitting down.

And running government like you do business what is here -- is absolutely critical and you know not oversimplifying what one program is -- vs the other you can't do uniform cut.

No no uniform cuts for Tracy grill sergeants they'll teach got a real safely -- of -- -- let's can we put -- finished far back -- -- had a lot of guys they what do we -- what -- just in the semis or do you want to order it send email key.

Story and keeps it.

I candidates one point five million to -- beef jerky advancements in France because they certainly on -- -- -- jerky movements may have -- Jerky Boys -- apparently here's the thing what bothers me the most -- is that they think we're naive or not gonna figure all this out.

That they think that they could again pull the wool over our eyes we can't we know what's happening and yet the audacity to -- of the camera and site.

TSA agents are gonna lose their jobs how dare you do this Jonathan.

The bottom part out go ahead Jonathan but there are ways that very -- like you'll see that right they do like to spend.

Well Eric you don't like to spend but if you talk about cutting -- the out of -- quickly up without a sob story or scare tactic about how the whole world is gonna.

-- -- -- Collapse we don't even pulling it.

Yeah thousands of useless government workers and at least the GOP in my estimation of some sense that wealth comes from private markets from free enterprise not -- -- ever growing government -- -- you think it did not check out Greece to Italy how are they doing right now and Marjorie Johnson makes a very good point out the government has increased in fact over the last twelve years in government the federal budget has doubled in twelve years this -- -- the right direction.

No absolutely I agree but again you can't you can't make it partisan and I do think that some of the things that are being highlighted as problematic are problematic I -- the point is.

You can't go across the board and say everything has equal weight some of things contribute to health and safety which is protection and think that all Americans value.

Other things are completely wasteful and you know again the defense.

Something we need but not the scaled -- that right now also really going through it all with a fine -- come would be a far more effective method.

Wayne -- you know some out of -- a look at -- here at a couple of these things identity thieves bilking the IRS out of billions three point nine billion in tax refunds on fraudulent returns.

I mean if you ran a business like this M three point nine billion that's number not talking about chopped liver here we're talking about -- Big and holly -- miss the cut this this is of this is -- that's just the -- federal government's business and they're failing on on many.

And I have to appease their constituents that is the problem here all slivers of the world neither of -- there's owners and yet I don't.

Good for -- -- every politician and you have -- be sacred cows they can't cut and we all know that.

Fundamental defense but -- get a pragmatist but it has got to be -- sacrifice across the -- what is the -- why -- offense have to give an accurate content spending more than every -- all ten countries combined on defense it's not your job to be a welcome -- Jonathan if -- -- if if if we're spending.

Robotics world's 325000.

Dollars -- studying -- -- and maybe we -- -- those things before we get the fans -- Robotics scoreless -- I -- me.

Some government is important but its role is limited and defense is one of those responsibilities.

-- specifically reserved for the government let you know.

The -- or someone study robotics score portals but defense is one element of government that actually we -- And then did you just let me stuff stuff the cut but they've got to get back to actually protecting individual rights that's spending the people's money with Miliband with -- -- Well well well but I think the question I think the question is how do we do what we do about this how do we control this we know it's ridiculous we know -- out of hand we know all of those things and yet here we have -- senate -- his -- -- Harry -- -- I'll always posturing at the -- They haven't passed the budget since 2009.

We don't even have a budget you can't run your household without some kind of an idea about where the money's coming from and where it's going.

I don't know the -- and idiots and let me get -- can you answer that why the -- hasn't passed a budget in almost four years.

How long do we have I had a.

That's -- problem and I have to say I think that we have the media contribute to this partisanship.

That happens of conversation that I've made them that I think that it will require coming to the table.

And I think that that campaign finance are firm and the term limit absolutely that would absolutely change the name of the conversation because when you do have special interest groups.

When you do have lobbyists that are in forming so much of what gets cut doesn't it's very hard to have a productive conversation -- in that defense and that defense spending budget.

I think yeah defense there's plenty of ways there as well and you know we have to look smartly as fiber for example is justified -- with direct example.

You know cyber security is a growing threat and art you know where -- we spending and why aren't we get more clearly was ever gonna go on spending aren't really on a growing videos -- is a pen and start slashing things across the border you have to leave there.
