At this year's conservative political action convention so what will his seat pack a message beat.

Nice to be that our rights are headed to -- back mid march this month what what are your message to.

Serviced -- Well I think we need to recognize that we're actually in quite a bit trouble as a nation right now.

And -- the ship is about to go off the waterfall.

And what we have to do is used utilized every force that we have to turn that ship for around.

Rather than be concerned about the barnacles on the side the ship so -- really need to it to look at the big picture here.

Use every resource that we have to turn this ship around them once we're moving in the right direction we can deal with the peripheral issues.

And does a person what do you think Republicans and -- -- -- -- conservatives -- she was taken them.

Have done wrong in their messaging.

Well I think there's been a lot of looking -- different types of issues and concentrating on those and getting behind us.

Rather than recognizing that.

If we allow ourselves to be destroyed as a nation economically.

Everything else will be non consequential.

And we -- very rapidly approaching that point and I don't think people are emphasizing this nearly enough.

And for that reason the populace doesn't truly understand the devastating effects of what will happen if we default.

And if we could destroy ourselves economically -- happened in the past so we need to recognize that it's happening to us before it happens.

Soon others instead of the side issues that people sometimes get bogged down and in the ten engines.

You think that they just have to hit over and over the economy meanwhile we've heard reported that the White House wanted to see an advanced copy.

Of your script I believe that was for the national prayer breakfast is that right.

That's correct but they also want to see an advance copy the last time I did the national prayer breakfast.

And I suspect they always -- to see an advance copy because the president needs to know what he's gonna respond to.

Sure I mean nothing nefarious just that they wanted to see an advance copy and and I'm sure that every White House and every president as you said likes to see.

-- what then featured keynote speakers will be saying but you did not give the White House this time an advance copy of your speech why not.

Because I didn't have a this -- of it you know spontaneously here.

I remember the last time I spoke President Clinton came weapon hits that are that I want to know who's responsible for putting this guy element for me -- -- there's -- -- there's there's plenty.

I'm sure President Obama felt the same light of his national prayer -- because you know it's been.

We all saw that President Obama may have felt a little bit uncomfortable you were standing up there you got a lot of attention.

And you didn't really pull any punches talking about what you think is kind of the wrong direction.

All of the countries so you must have surprised the president of the white house with the contents of your speech.

Well it's so important that we learned how to be able to discuss differences of opinion.

And do it -- -- very nice way without calling people names and and acting like third graders just this is really quite embarrassing what I see sometimes entire nation.

The people can't handle sort of just having an adult conversation.

Do you know what exactly you'll be saying yet that -- back.

No.

I always ask god to guide my thoughts and -- guide my example and he always does.

But do you mean that you'll be speaking extemporaneous sleep or do you write out a speech the night before and how.

Some notes I will not -- speech I may have some bullet points on a piece of paper.

Which I may or may -- it is.

I kept thinking I'm guessing I I love you -- you even you don't know I didn't necessarily you'll be doing but basically the theme.

As we understand because we do like to get a little of -- an attraction.

Is -- you'll tell conservatives that they need to be more focused on being number one issue in the country.

Absolutely you know I love this nation it's been very good to me and I want to make sure.

That it is good to my children my grandchildren we've got to preserve it.

And doctor Carson.

What about you getting involved in politics and -- we've asked you this before how are you leaning in the after action.

But I mean I'm leaning in the direction of if continuing to speak out about ways that we can do things in a logical manner.

And I think -- I'm not interest it and going into politics but -- pitched it and helping our nation move in the right direction.

I'm sorry logic that will never work doctor Ben Carson.
