A brand new fox pull out overnight is showing -- where Americans stand on immigration reform in the poll 69% say they are in favor of completely new border security.

Before changing immigration policies while 25%.

Oppose that idea.

Join us now are human who have come up with an immigration plan their -- Jeb Bush the former governor -- you know millions and Clint Bolick is BP for litigation a Goldwater institute.

They're co authors of the new book immigration wars forging.

An American solution good morning to gentlemen -- -- how you decided to tackle really easy topic content.

Controversy and talking about it for a long time governor you of course from the state of Florida where immigration has been in focus for quite some time.

What what is the main message of your book now when you gonna do to try and solve -- Well the book has to underlying premises I guess one is that we are a nation of immigrants we have an immigrant heritage that.

Helps our country grow and prosper but we are also a country where the rule of law prevails.

And that dynamic tension is where we tried to look at how you create comprehensive reform.

It's a relates to border security.

You know some status paths of legalized status for immigrants that are here that doesn't create another magnet for immigrants to come illegally.

A focus on economic.

Immigration really trying to drive our economy by bringing the best and the brightest around the world.

A focus on civic education in the these are things that we propose and we've we suggested it should be done a comprehensive way not.

One off.

Right exactly your brother had suggested some sort of a guest worker program will want what do you do do you like an idea and also what do you do with the eleven or twelve million who -- already here.

Well yes we do like -- guest worker program a lot of our agricultural jobs are moving to other countries.

Alabama suffered billions of dollars in losses when they got rid of a bunch of their immigrants.

I'm so we think that there ought to be a predictable flow with that it ought to be market driven rather I think government dictated.

And buy it but we also of course support dramatic increases in the number of high skilled visas that we give.

Only 13%.

Of our immigrants come for.

Economic reasons that's the lowest of any country in the world.

And the governor I know you feel history is -- the year who lives Hispanic background your son -- junior just married a Canadian of of Iraqi descent correct you are truly a melting -- family -- collect a lot of American families exact price would you here at the dinner table maybe some people wait for us to talk about the news.

But governor you also in your book about it's not president Mitt Romney.

And one of the main reasons this is because you feel as though the senses the changing this country Hispanic vote is there a way to be strong on illegal immigration.

And be pro Hispanic.

It is there -- clearly away you have to communicate listen to people.

Listen to their aspirations.

Immigration is not the driving issue number one issue amongst Latino or Asian voters -- you see these huge majorities of President Obama got.

It's a reason why he won many of the swing states and so.

A message that is more asked for a little more positive more open.

Is is the solution you either had -- put this -- this generation of Republicans doesn't we've become more reacting to the overreach by.

Are.

-- opponents.

-- rather than proposing.

Positive solutions and that's that's why I admire the fact is we wrote this book last year.

In anticipation of it have of it being published in this year you've seen a lot of movement towards trying to build consensus which is great coming -- -- -- political motivations.

We find consensus and should members of congress use this book as their prayer.

To learning how to get the job done and why would suggested if they if those that have been opposed to immigration reform any kind if they read the book they might find a place where they.

Could be for something and -- biggest impediment to reform so far has been Barack Obama who continues to play politics with the issue.

He recognizes that it -- a painful issue for Republicans.

And they really haven't entered the game turned so we need to come up with a solution and we need to force the president's has.

Speaking of politics.

What do you think.

Twenty's a solicitation of -- for -- fifth question.

And I -- I'm on top of the United States only a few runs as my vice president will answer the man and for the think about either position.

I will say this governor here's the question we have for Marco Rubio you he's almost he is almost a protege of viewers you guys respect each other so much yeah well that.

If he gets in -- that keep you out.

It's way too early for him more for me and we live in the same zip code you know so -- We can talk that -- awkward in public as well you can talk this got a little microphone X but you know that it's public until I'm home -- martyrdom form aren't I quit.

Jennifer thank you it's cozy here they -- months and that if congress does uses as a primer I hope they pay for each -- don't give it.

Capitalism a gentleman next -- you think -- Travis coming up.
