With congressman Matt Salmon and congressman there's been so many things the president said would happen with sequestration.
We're gonna put a list up on the screen I want to talk about some of these things that he pain it is sort of the doomsday.
Even though we started walking on that back one of them.
Would be affected.
Explain to me how emergency responders would be affected by a federal.
Cut of two and a half percent when most of those are locally our state funded.
Well that's a popular -- this city council's often use when they have to cut their budgets.
Instead of getting rid of the some of the waste fraud abuse.
They cut the two most popular programs police and fire and I think the president has kind of taken a page out of their political notebook and that -- let's talk about cutting police and fire but you're very astute.
Those people are funded by -- local jurisdictions.
Let me tell you something governor if he really is serious about cutting waste fraud abuse and I would -- one more category selling -- he can start now will be happy to work with him.
You know he also mentioned about teachers again I think those are hired a local school boards not by the federal government and I hope it says that way.
But had -- -- because I think that good so many of these things are.
Issues that the federal government doesn't directly fund in the first place.
Well let me tell you a few areas that he could look at.
2.5 billion dollars -- overpayment on food stamps for people that really didn't deserve felt or qualify for its food stamps that actually got the -- steps -- spent the money.
Four million dollars for IRS TV.
Dollars for robotics squirrels I've got a news flash -- I got.
I've got a better way to find -- in the White House.
-- -- You have a second career lined up for you if this congressional gig doesn't work out but.
Let's talk also about the fact the president keeps saying but we need a balanced approach the president got.
I huge tax increase of 600 billion dollars at the first of the year any acts like he didn't get it.
He promised cuts have you seen any cuts coming from the White House -- the Democrats.
Not one thin dime worth of cuts has this president proposed last year the US house passed two different measures.
Giving the president other alternatives for cutting out waste fraud and abuse.
And not having to go through these kinds of cuts -- the president asked his pal Harry Reid to stick it in his torso we never have to deal with those issues.
That's the way they do everything right now that the senate hasn't -- the pass the budget in four years.
And they're not acting with this in a very responsible way they just want to play games they just want to play politics.
I'm ready to -- go and do the job of the people I think that most of the Republican colleagues that I deal with in the house are ready.
Standing ready willing and able to work with the president.
To go ahead and cut waste fraud and abuse but we've also got to deal.
With entitlement spending if we don't deal with that.
There will be a serious serious -- within 45 years maybe Obama doesn't care because he'll be out of office by -- but a lot of people will be hurt if.
We don't act on this problem now.
And and just to close things up here what about the fact that congress.
Pretty much took off this weekend -- -- I would think that if it video world's about to end everybody would be all hands on deck including the president.
He's got the weekend off you guys have got the weekend off is that not a signal that maybe it's not quite.
The urgent crisis we've been told.
Even with the sequestration.
Total federal spending is going to grow by fifteen billion this next year.
And over the next ten years if sequestration.
Does take place for all ten years.
They'll still be a 67%.
Increase we will go from the 3.5 trillion dollar budget this year.
At the other ten years to a six trillion dollar budget even with sequestration -- place Mr.
C'mon get real let's get to the table and let's get the real job of cutting spending and yeah.
