Or even -- now in China but he did dismantle democracy and you think that.

-- comics -- shouldn't have been given any credence.

Well.

I think it's very disturbing they have these figures are a lot celebrating a guy who again are you validates the dictator not certainly -- son and any use democratic process to hollow out.

Democratic institutions in Venezuela and crack down on the opposition all his critics and and need process wrecked the country and he left it racked by inflation crime is through the roof of shortages of goods.

But somehow the people left including you know not -- usual.

Rubber -- shot and I like them but Jimmy Carter if our president United States.

Whitewashing his legacy and praising him just because users but -- left you know if shout as.

-- -- -- -- fascist.

They wouldn't have praised and and this way but it under the left gets a free pass.

Yes I didn't I sort I mean you would expect differing coverage in different outlets though I guess.

Says there was that Judy Miller was pointing -- to -- yesterday that there was resolve Lee.

Some praising an obituary written by the Associated Press which one would expect me.

More down the middle and then on the on the left of the spectrum.

That -- in that newspaper which is that you know well known liberal newspaper.

Was trumpeting the legacy he leaves in looking off to the Paula health -- And education.

All of those fat points to put in a PC if you put on the other side about the dismantling.

Of democracy the sluggishness in the intimidation is it FedEx look at all of those as a as a whole.

Yeah I think so and it's fair to note why the -- like ten you know -- Venezuela was blessed with this was a rising oil prices and it and it.

Sits on a massive amount of reserves and use that to give things to be bullish.

And downtrodden people.

And the like says it's -- -- to note that.

But.

It it it's just some easy morning show's network morning shows just sort of said oh he is controversial and a colorful personality.

That doesn't really capture.

So getting.

And when we when we look at Venezuela and averaged just what do you think on on -- there are getting away from that the bias of the meter or whatever.

What do you think -- the opportunities and the dangers here for the United States in terms of policy towards Latin America as a whole and Venezuela are of particular.

Well and it didn't danger of Chavez was that is a rallying point for the entire region and his successors whoever they may be.

In the unity he wanted his vice president we'll see if -- -- election if he'd actually when it's.

Even if he holds power there are motivated that's Venezuela it won't have -- -- potentially galvanizing effect.

In the region and you know that back -- that.

Rather easy Chavez's influence is already on the -- you know his defenders point to poverty.

Having -- steeply reduced and -- Venezuela last ten years or so.

That holds true for the rest of the region because there's this cut our -- why commodity -- Which shows you can help poor people.

Without.

Consolidating your own power at the expense at the expense of democratic institutions practices all right.
