Right now -- areas back on the stand in her murder trial she will again face direct questions from the folks who will decide her fate.

The jury.

The judge is actually reading the questions including those that seem to sound skeptical about areas version of what happened take a listen.

Why would you take the time to delete the photos on the camera.

After you've killed -- why did you put that camera in the -- here.

Why didn't you call 91.

-- Hackett is with us a criminal defense attorney -- Nelson is a former prosecutor and criminal defense attorney these days.

Kerry it's a fascinating look at what what these jurors have on their minds you know they've heard her testify.

For more than three weeks now.

And they're asking the questions that we just heard what do you make of the tone.

Well I think that two important things that these jurors are trying to get that are.

To try to get more information from her about the killing itself and about her memory problems.

I think -- -- other main issue that the jury is looking at is her credibility and whether they believe her and how to know when she's telling the truth and when she's line.

All right -- -- you -- you are prosecutor years I'm sure you've been a prosecutor your defense attorney.

When you look at the questions these jurors are asking which side do you think -- benefit.

Oh they're on our side there on the prosecutor side and every if you listen to every question they asked John every question it's almost like they're saying -- Your first -- was garbage privilege to try again we're gonna throw you this -- -- please explain this to us because your first explanation was horrible.

Every single one on the camera.

Move in the body.

Every question -- -- with is to give her another shot because it's so ridiculous they're so on.

The government's side on this case little exercise let's play a couple of more questions.

And -- and one of her answers.

Did you try and clean -- the scene after you left on June 4 2008.

Based on the evidence I believe again.

After you -- Travis why aren't helping parents to get away.

OK this guy that is back after I shot him.

I didn't know they -- him but after the -- Sealant.

He was Sunday nearly fell over and he was trying to get on top of me.

It's hard to describe it here and who was.

It was like why don't hear it really was I released any -- -- I thought he was anything in my life I really thought he was had intentions to kill me.

So I don't -- -- Spin -- any specifics.

Of what happened right after that we.

So -- there you have the implausible story of a woman who has.

Shocked and slashed and slit the throat of the man achieve purportedly loved.

She basically admitted that she tried to clean up -- the crime scene after the case but she's also saying.

Oh I was in horrible fear I'd I just wanted to get out of there.

Doesn't exactly compute.

Well I think what she was saying -- she was going back to the moment where she acted in self defense she said that she felt this mortal terror at this moment.

And then after that she has no memory of what actually happened of the cleaning up of the running out of the home.

I think that the jury is going to have a little bit of trouble -- this and I hear -- each of these questions that what they're really asking for is.

-- give us more information what actually happened how did the killing -- -- Where did you run from how long did it take you to get this -- Why is the closet not messed up so I think what they're really trying to get at is.

Is this patently self defense is this a killing in self defense or was this a premeditated killing.

Tad -- BS meters getting paid here for me I don't know about you.

-- absolutely.

-- it's crazy.

You know this whole case has been a prosecutor's dream I mean they've been on the TV for seventeen days.

They're gonna knock it out of the park she has no chance literally when you think about the story she's getting.

I mean the reason she says I don't remember is -- whatever really did happen would be worse than that.

And we all know from watching the last few weeks how bad I don't remember sounds.

You know it sounds ridiculous so only imagine how bad if she really said what was going on -- -- She has no credibility with history they don't like her every question they ask is the pain or into a corner by done it.

She she did it yourself that this defense lawyer did a tour.

Karrie she admits that she did it -- the attempt here by her attorney.

Is to keep her from getting the death penalty is it possible.

But after all these weeks of testimony and all of this question in question answering.

That she has in some way ingratiating herself to at least enough members of the jury that they would.

Vote not to surrendered to the death chamber.

Well that's what her defense team is hoping -- -- hoping that the jury in some way sympathizes with something that she said something that she's gone through the fact that she's been battered and previous relationships.

The -- that she US so aggressively cross examined by Juan Martinez they're hoping that they identify with her in some way -- sympathize with her.

He was shot a couple of.

He was lounging at her and the gun went off and then she was afraid I guess that that.

But he was still got a killer I mean I don't know too many people who were able.

To lunge or to continue a lunge after taking a couple of bullets to the face.

Oh there's no way -- you hit the nail on the head zero.

Percent of the forensic evidence -- support anything she -- anything.

You know she talks about.

She talks about shooting him after she stabbing the forensic evidence clearly goes the other way on that.

And that is why and you talk about the definitely this is what's scary I mean they put erupt there she has made a complete fool of herself for three weeks.

And yeah -- you know you hear some of the stories and there are some things that make you think.

Well maybe -- -- -- for -- areas but there's so many things that are so offensive her complete disregard for human life.

And the lives and the manipulation.

We I think she's paint yourself into a death penalty we'll see what happens continuing to follow this case Ted Nelson carry Hackett again thank you -- -- John.

Thank you.
