White and comes into us and we're talking about.
I.'s cyber attacks that -- mean because.
Often that we have obviously the threat that Americans are potentially pose to our own pop country -- -- members here whether it be on our soil overseas for that matter.
But also we have the issue of type of cyber issues that only Americans but we're seeing a lot of Chinese cyber attacks in a cockiness for a number of weeks on the show.
On that they're going after corporations and and not just US interest to have to do with our government.
Try to Adams spent a big big change -- the cyber world because it used to be thought of that Russia was the primary threat now of course it's China.
And it's not just the espionage we've been used to now for some decades China stole for example the most advanced nuclear weapon design we had back in the ninety's.
Anyone involved in national security at one point or another has probably detected some sort of Chinese surveillance of the last couple decades but really.
Climbing the ladder with does the theft of trade secrets.
Putting companies are helping to put companies like Nortel out of business through cyber espionage.
In most -- some some indications now that China wants to go to the next level graduate beyond just customary cyber espionage and getting the cyber sabotage business.
You don't look at some notes that had over the course and again in the last six months we've been watching us closely we've been reporting on a for a number of years.
It just doesn't seem like as compared to some of the other threats that we face that this is getting a lot of a lot of them.
-- we're talking about necessarily a look around the US for that matters like getting a lot of attention in the U -- I mean you hear about some of the other threats that are more physical but this maybe more dangerous.
It could be you know China has often looked for some way to knock us out in an early part of a conflict that might involve us even if it's directed at someone else like Taiwan or Japan.
But this is a way if successful.
Mean if you look at actually the success of cyber attacks against Iran what you can do with just a computer virus make machines below lots of that happened here the -- could go out cell phones wouldn't work first responders wouldn't know.
Where to go you're liking Katrina about gas stations have -- guess you just can't get it out of the ground because you need electricity to pump itself.
A genuine sort of Pearl Harbor style Tony for century Pearl Harbor style attack something I wrote about on Fox News opinion.
Yes but he he has a great piece on Fox's opinion and I want to bring and also -- we mentioned this off camera.
They talking about China right now but one of China's very close friends a cork North Korea today they threaten a nuclear attack on us.
But -- nuclear attack and also being nuclear cyber attack in some respects.
Bright line of course these two threats are links -- really you -- above this belief in Washington and we're gonna do it again we're gonna take another swing.
And -- is football this is sort of inevitable when John Kerry became secretary of stay -- -- cable became secretary of defense.
This belief that we can get China to force its ally its meaning -- North Korea.
To behave in China has always led us to believe that and it's always been false once again now we have yet another round of sanctions at the UN.
They're almost identical in many ways -- rounds of sanctions before.
Problem is trying to just doesn't enforce them bring me for a couple of days and after North Korea's first nuclear test in -- sixth day.
Slow -- trade a little bit but it's always -- usual because China just would rather.
Deal with the devil it knows it realizes North Korea will never attack is in its interest in kind of -- that they make life difficult for a us.
Like finish startup that's for sure and you have four steps you talk about to prevent a -- Pearl Harbor I'll explain to the viewers at home.
Right well one of the the first one is basically having some sort of offensive capability we shouldn't just fight defensively.
We should have the ability to push back in the problem -- -- the president mentioned this in the State of the Union Address and he issued an executive order almost do is give more power of the Department of Homeland Security first of all that's odd because if there's one department that knows -- networks and technologies Energy Department's second of all completely ignores US cyber command which is the only thing -- going -- -- you know.
Google if they get upset -- Chinese hacking they can't go on the offensive against China their peers would never let them even if they're chiefs -- -- -- Sybercom can.
Other things we need to do is is talked clearly about the threat -- the American people know that China's not our friend in this the president has never really brought himself to say.
In public the China is the primary -- a couple of other steps we can take.
Yeah absolutely William -- what we -- coming to principle it DC international advisory.
-- on Fox News Channel all the time -- and -- -- -- of course talking about this because this topic is not gonna go away as you mentioned and of course.
Especially now as we hear more threats coming out of North Korea I think your best one is call a spade a space have been probably do strict procedures I think ridiculous all right.
