For eating a pastry into the shape of a -- It is this proposal a good idea and what is going on with our schools Fox News -- shortage of -- deal is here she's a former teacher by the way.
I might give some perspective.
I thought did anybody ever -- -- on you -- threatened you with a cheese Dana sure.
-- to wonder what the consequence of that was going to be.
And -- the hyper sensitivity in a political correctness gone I've taught middle school high school and college and this is -- this is prevalent as I was not surprised to see these stories popping up in the news at all.
And of course there is a hyper sensitivity particularly in light of new town and the school shooting there and obviously there's -- zero tolerance policy.

Shooting.
It pop -- into the shape of a gun or a pastry of some time.
It's not gonna -- but -- and often times what happens is these students spend get suspended and that goes on their permanent academic record.
Which is what this particular senator is trying to prevent.
Because then that affects their performance over the years that affects the way they view themselves that affects the -- teachers -- them all the sudden they become this problem child.
For an -- that really just -- them -- kids being kids.
They don't understood the consequences of these things could essentially in most cases they're not doing anything wrong and you have parents sitting down with kids trying to explain to them why you know biting their cookie into the shape of a -- or doing this in a playground because they're playing cops and robbers.
As all of a sudden a crime so to speak on -- out of school level so it's really gonna take parental involvement in parental outrage on these issues to come forward and say.
I'm not gonna tolerate this you know -- -- -- the school board that -- affect the culture of the school by saying.
We're not gonna tolerate this behavior toward our kids they've done nothing wrong.
Well here's that's a troubling about it I mean.
You want teachers who -- not simply well informed and Smart.
But who are wise that's the thing you hope foremost as a parent when you sit your kids off to school and -- want -- -- wisely develop good instincts and your kids.
How many teachers would say there are who can't discern between a history in a firearm.
There's the fear though around school culture now there's a fear of offending is a fear that parents have been respond to certain -- the political correctness has become.
The safe avenue for everyone this that we can avoid a problem by being hypersensitive and political politically correct and make everything into.
Okay you need to be punished for for pretty much everything's everything that involves have gone.
Be it someone actually taking a firearm to school which would be -- horrific incident and someone biting the cookie into the shape of a firearm.
Are -- -- treated the exact same way with the suspension of zero tolerance really means that you're not really looking at these things on case by case basis anymore.
But -- -- -- in creating he's one size fits all treatments which makes absolutely no sense does all of these situations are different as too bad that we need legislation.
To try to tell all teachers that.
A cooking can be a cooking yeah cooking is just -- Us instead -- diet -- thanks so much anti -- wants.
